I was given this watch by my oldest son, who also owns one. It is one of my favorite watches and I wear it often. I like having both day and date as it is helpful when traveling. The toughness, lume, water-proofness (200M), and fit and finish makes this watch a bargain.
Buying this watch made me realise how good a seiko could be. A reliable movement Sapphire glass Ceramic bezel Diving watch. Was over the moon when I got this in the mail. Knew every dollar I spent was going towards something functional and not materialistic.
I'm about to pull trigger on this. Just one question. I have willard and absoluty in love with it but this size id max I can pull of . Is thia king turtle same dimmension?? I love your vud. Keep them coming!
Thanks for dropping by! I haven’t handled the Willard, but I would the Willard seems the smaller watch based on all dimensions. It is smaller case diameter, lug length and thinner than the SRP Turtle.
Mine has arived just now, i bought it from official store. But then i realized that the date position under that cyclops seems like not align... is that normal or seiko QC team is messed up?
@@yamyamers9906 I agree on the Kamasu. This model really hit the jackpot. And yes, wear your watches in good health bro. More watch collecting adventures in the new year.
I guess that depends on your preference (whether you like big or small watches), and also what strap you put on it. The stock Seiko strap can be quite long if you have a smaller wrist.

Congrats! Yours is even sweeter because it’s a gift from your son! Wear it in good health.
I got it three months ago, and i assure you it is Fantastic ❤️❤️❤️
Congrats! Wear it in good health.
I bought one last weekend and I really love it. Very beautiful and classy watch. 👍👍👍

I am not a huge turtle fan ( own 1, srpa21) but this watch has a nice dial and I really like that blue rubber strap.
This dial is really good. For me, the cyclops goes and it’s a collectible.
Awesome Review, great watch - thank you
👍
Really enjoyable review. Very clear. Thank you. Subscribed
Thank you so much! Glad you found the video helpful.
Beautiful watch
Agreed.👍
Seiko should make a 45mm of the baby tuna.
Great review thanks

@@AndyinSG Yeah but not that much. Does that 1mm really make a difference I wonder ?
@@gonzolak83 I’d say give it a try! The Turtles wear smaller than specs suggest.
Good review, but what about the back of the watch?
The caseback is the usual tsunami wave.
Question dark manta or light blue manta? Cant make up my mind, but if it was up to yoj
Are you asking about the two versions of Mantas? For me, I prefer the brighter blue version. I find the electric blue more striking.
This is a nice watch but I own the SRPE39J1 Manta Ray King Turtle 🐢. I very much prefer mine to this darker dial .
Both are equally nice. Seiko makes great dials.
Tried this on and the willard
This kills the willard and less than half the price
This whole manta series is proving to be a hit. Great watches.
I got the same model at Macy’s on sale but mine says made in Japan underneath the 6 o’clock position and on the back , is there any difference?
No difference in terms of quality. Only denotes that the watch is for Japan or international market.
@@AndyinSG ok thanks
Are you from South Africa?
No sir. I’m from Singapore.
Awesome
@@AndyinSG I just picked up this watch but with OEM black silicone rubber straps
@@KGB-FSB Wonderful! I think these Seiko Prospex divers look really good on rubber straps. And shaves off weight too. Comfy to wear!

Congrats on your new watch.
Misaligned dates are pretty common in Seikos. You might want to contact the store and see how they can help you.
@@AndyinSG fuuhhh... its Japanese we are talking about, they're about perfection. maybe because this watch not made in Japan 😔
@@yamyamers9906 It’s not made in Japan. But then that’s how things work these days.
@@AndyinSG yeaah orient kamasu still the best then 😁 anyway nice talk and good review bro, thanks 👍

What is the smallest wrist size will it fit ?
I guess that depends on your preference (whether you like big or small watches), and also what strap you put on it. The stock Seiko strap can be quite long if you have a smaller wrist.
@@AndyinSG My wrist is only 17.5cm. so would it fit my wrist or is the strap too long?
@@denhockyee definitely fits your wrist.
I have this watch. But I can tell you that citizen's lume is way better than Seiko's
Congrats! This manta dial is super cool.
I’ve yet to try a Citizen diver. Maybe it’s time to get in one for review.
Haha, good joke man...there is no lume like Seiko lume, even birds in the sky know this ;)
