Fantastic to have discovered this, I was trying to work out the chords by ear and struggling so searched for an analysis. This has been a favorite of mine for over 40 years. Thank you for your very clear presentation.
These videos are a really big deal. Having a comprehensive rundown of every song in the real book available on UA-cam for free will probably help new musicians for years to come. Thank you!
Beautifully played and conceptualized. Sounds like a vocal song from a modern musical, or a jazz vocal w an excellent band that would also appeal to non jazzers. Thanx, Maestro. 🌹
Very beautiful Ron .... can’t tell u how many times I’ve passed that over ( Icarus). Definitely hear Pat Matheny. U took me way back to my college years with “ Paul Winter Consort “ 😊. Went to school at Columbia and to go up to their winter concert at St John the Divine every Holiday season. Nice memories. I hear them too. I’ll have to listen to u do it a few more times before I try. Great job Thanks.
Hi Arthur - I'm glad I've led you to this tune, especially since you've listened to so much Paul Winter over the years. Good luck with your playing the tune :)
So amazing, thank you, I'm stunned!

Thanks very much for your kind words and support, Harpo. This is what I'm hoping to accomplish with these.
Thanks, what you're doing is great !
Thanks Julien - much appreciated :)
This tune has a really really distinct sound. It makes the piano sound very fresh. I really like it. I guess I'll have to check out Ralph Towner now!
I feel the same way, Harpo. Playing tunes like this keeps us fresh too!
I'm just starting to take fun piano noodling to a more real level, and I'm finding your videos helpful and inspiring. Thanks!
Yep - it's like Noodling Level 2. Good luck!
Thanks for the inspiration! This really chimes with inspirations I take for my independent music, it’s so nice to see this kind of work out there.
I'm glad you liked this, Marina, and that it aligns with your own approach to music. Good luck!

Inspired as a songwriter. 🌹
You're very perceptive, Brenda. I was thinking of Sondheim in some sections of the tune :)
Beautiful! (Your piano has the perfect "voice" & sustain for this).
Thanks Robin!

Great song - I wasn't familiar with that one, so it was great to hear how it's done!\
Give it a try, John. You could play this!
