Hmmm. Fair play for giving some little visited destinations a little publicity. Coventry for example is an interesting choice but l have to say few visitors would find much to enjoy. A better way to find places to visit is to Google Gem Towns. It’s a long established list of 51 towns of historic interest. It’s not perfect. It omits places which are largely Victorian and unaccountably, Bury St Edmunds. I was in Rawtenstall recently. It’s delightful and not on the list either. My vote for the most interesting but unheralded towns in Stockport. Unlike all the places on the list, you need more than a day. For me its crowning glory is the Plaza, a fully restored 1930s art deco cinema run by volunteers. It is beautiful
Next on your list I’d add Hartlepool, especially including Headland 👍.
