It is a beautiful looking recurve. It's maybe a lil' mean, but it was very funny watching someone whose never used one learn how to string it without instruction.
Fun fact, Alvin, the smoke does follow you. Since you're closest to the fire relarive to other objects you create a small, small pressure differential which moves the smoke towards you. Whenever you're next at a campfire with friends, try it out!

Eating raw meats is a no-no for every living beings because there are some dangerous parasites/organisms that lived on it. If you dont cleaned the meat before cooked/processed it, then you will have parasites that eats your life slowly till death. Its not funny when you have tapeworms, liver worms or E.coli wreaking havoc in your own body, its just endless suffering until you get treated in hospital.
I would think that you'd just throw the meat arrows from off screen, but if you watch the reflection in the bowl at 3:45, you can see Alvin actually taking the shot. I love everyone's dedication lol.
I can't decide which is more hilarious, the fact he cosplayed this whole episode, the fact he struggled so much to string a bow, or the fact he baited his coworkers with meat arrows XDDD But now i think people can see why medieval fantasy people are so badass. They can whip off the unstrung bow, string it and shoot the attacking enemy before they are killed. Tis a feat of strength!!
I have not tried combining a weapong and piece of meat yet cause I decided to go to a cold place which basically caused me to use just about every food item which left me with shroom (this ain't no Mario game).
Went above and beyond to capture the essence of Tears of the Kingdom in a cooking video. Job well done! Hope Alvin is playing the game and not just living it!
Fun fact: the smoke does actually follow you, because your presence blocks the flow of colder air that helps to make the smoke flow upward, so it's basically pushed on all sides except the one you're on.
This is truly a blessing to someone who has truly ruined her life and sleep schedule to devote every moment to Tears of the Kingdom. Alvin pulls the cosplay off far too well.
This game actually added new food ingredients like tomatoes and oil, so I am curious to see what kind of new food recipes we can create. Heck, we can create the Noble Pursuit now! (Voltfruit + Palm Fruit + Hydromelon + Rock Salt = 4 heart healing cocktail.) Though I may have to do a reexamination of the Hyrulean diet as a result...
6:13 - the smoke *does,* in fact, follow you! It has to do with aero dynamics. Your presence (compared to open space) causes the air to swirl in ways that ultimately bends the smoke stack towards you. To prevent this, you need symmetry. Another person on the other side, who is roughly the same size, shape, and pose as you, will cause equal swirls on both sides, keeping the smoke direction balanced. The ultimate version of this, where the smoke is covered with symmetric obstacles on all sides, is called a chimney.
Love the fact Alvin was cosplaying and getting ingredients from his infinite inventory :D Would love to see Alvin cosplay in the Anime with Alvin series as well!!! :D (cooking + cosplay video in one :D)
The bow came unstrung because you actually should keep it unstrung when not in use. The constant tension breaks down the string and the bow itself. When not in use, stand it straight up unstrung to prevent warping. There is actually a motion meant to string it up and unstring it properly by using your shoulder and back muscles. It's hard to describe and far better to actually watch the motions.
barely a week into the game release and already a recipe? Mad lad I hope you guys do more TOTK recipes in the future. May i suggest gloom-cure porridge/congee made from Sundelion?
love the channel... as an archer everything about this episode hurts my brain 🤣 PRO TIP: please don't leave the bow with the string on when you're done!

If you end up stringing another one hook the curve of the bow behind your ankle in a way that your ankle holds it in position and pull the other end towards you should give you enough slack to string it if not you did it wrong try switching ankles
