A lot of good improvements to the 2021. But maybe Honda representatives should sit down with Max at his office and ask...Max what can we do at Honda to make this an even better and more exceptional touring motorcycle? Max could definitely straighten them out. Thank you again Max!!!!
Never mind me... if they cared at all about what people wanted, they would set up a booth at Wing Ding and talk to people or open a website and collect suggestions, and organize them into priorities that consumers want.
Just finished installing rack ( black powder coated) brake light and truck light. Your video was vary helpful. Thank you. Tomorrow gonna install your cubby insulation kit.
Several years ago when I lived in Columbus, GA., I went to Miller’s Custom Powder Coating in Lilburn, GA when rebuilding a motorcycle. Billy did the complete exhaust system, the heat shields, engine guard/crash bars and even did just the head portion on some allen head screws for side covers. They did excellent work at very reasonable prices. I highly recommend them.
The one thing you did not show, that I am interested in is replacing the new lift shocks that come with the luggage rack for the added weight. I have been building road course cars for 15 years. I really like your videos. You put things in layman's terms. And Details. Like your upgrades to factory parts. I do that a lot.
The shocks should be straightforward, but there is a trick... a bizarre thing I can't explain. Honda put a split-style lockwasher and an R-clip on each of the pivot pins... it's very strange and fits in an odd way. The bottom pin is tricky to get out with the speaker in the way, but it can be done, and will save some time.
I'm looking for help getting the sequential turn signals to work on my 2021 Gold Wing Tour 1800. It's the high mount kit and I'm installing it on the Honda trunk rack. Brand: Pathfinder L.E.D. I completely installed and wired the light and the harness kit and when tested the running lights and the pulsing brake lights work but neither turn signal work at all on this light. All lights are working on the bike itself. Triple checked all my connections. Company sent me a new kit and I have the same problem. I disconnected the wiring harness I originally installed and installed the new harness and wired directly to the light without actually installing on the bike to test. Same result: yellow lights come on then red running lights and brake lights plus, but nothing for the turn signals. Any help and suggestions will be very much appreciated.
The 2021 has different voltage requirements for the lighting. There is a lighting distribution box they sell that fixes it as far as I know. Something like PAH-60. They call it a power distribution box. Having said that, if Pathfinder can't fix it, then I wouldn't know where to guide you.
That's all it does. You can buy a kit from Electrical Connection that is a "Run/Brake Harness" that will make it also a running light. We have it in stock here.
@@Traxxionhi max . is the Honda line sub harness enough for the inside led light and for the led rack light as well? Or somebody has to buy 2 sub harnesses (one for every particular connection)?
@@MotoRiderGreece The one harness services both accessories! Also get the Electrical Connection "Run/Brake" harness... it makes the rack light a running light as well (it's only a brake light from Honda).

Thanks for the video Max :)
Hi Max..how do you compare the pros and cons of the Hondaline trunk rack vs goldstrike trunk rack for 2021+ goldwing.
I just saw the Goldstrike rack the other day, and it looks very nice, and costs way less. I would have no problem buying it.

Hello, I installed the trunk rack for goldwing 2021 and I connected the cable but the led light work only with break

@@MotoRiderGreece we sell them on our site, you can get them there... www.traxxion.com
Where do I order these from?
I checked online all was ebay offers.
Thanks
They are Hondaline accessories, and must be ordered from a Honda Dealer.
13.18 is hilarious
Look INSIDE the trunk... there's another one that says 20 pounds!!!
So this had been powder coated after the fact?
Yes.
One of the strong points of the bike is a low center of gravity. Why would you want to put an anvil on top of the trunk??
Honda says it should only hold 5 lbs. I'm certain the passenger is much more weight than that up high.
