Decorah Eagles-DM2 Feeds Eaglets-Mom Returns With A Cornstalk & D32's PoopShoot

- This morning DM2 (Decorah Male 2) feeds D32 & D33 fish, he's doing a great job feeding them. Later Mom flies in with a cornstalk and feeds the eaglets some fish and D32 does a well aimed poopshoot!!

As I recall, he sort of picked Mom, showing up as he did shortly after Dad disappeared about a year ago now. Kept his distance, guarded the nest area and patiently waited for the proper moment to propose. ;-)
@@DoubleDogDare54 according to RRP, the eagle that showed up soon after dad disappeared is not DM2. That was a different eagle. RRP believed that eagle showed up after hearing mom calling for dad. They believe this one showed up mid to late summer
@@angelariggsby6285 Okay - I wasn't aware of that fact. I watched the cam fairly regularly and simply assumed the eagle that showed up after Dad vanished was DM2. Thanks for the update! :-)
D33 gets fed more from Dad than Mom. He’s such a caring father. Good to see D33 being a little more assertive in grabbing bites!
DM2 has become a seasoned daddy to the cuties.

Great daddy DM2 is doing very well of feeding the chics and the pantry is filled with food awesome and Im sure supermom is glad for her new mate. Thank you for the capture and sharing.
I truly prayed for a DM2 after MOMs last season and he was delivered. He seems really dedicated to shouldering the hunting and nesting duties for her, as if he knew what happened(hmmm).I'm REALLY liking this dude.
Yes! DM2 is doing a great job!! Correction though, it was Mom feeding, not DM2, my mistake. It's a blessing for her to have found such a good mate. : )
Dad also brings variety to the nest. Huge fish, mink, and looks like rabbit today.

How do those babies not suffocate under that weight?
They actually don’t put their weight on them. They ball up their feet and squat over them. I understand it gets around 90-100 degrees under parents. Cozy!
