- Tuesday appox 530am or 6am. The fish was zipped opened when Mr flew in with it, so not a true self feeding. I believe DN9 needs to use talons and unzip fish itself, for a true self feeding.

Love how Mom & Dad Decorah are watching if DN9 will be able to eat fish on his own!! Mom swoops down as if to intervene and stop DMN ftom feeding DN9. Excellent video EW18! 👍
He is practicing nicely! He just needs to figure out how to place those talons on top of the prey as well, lol. I love how the 'parents' hover closely but let the juvies learn on their own.

DN9 swallowed half fish together with that annoying straw which had stuck to the throat for quite a while. Well done.
Cant hold it down to eat nice bites..so he just swallow it whole...lol
DN9 did hold it down and pulled off a few pieces to eat, before swallowing the larger piece. Then it had the head left and pulled pieces off that before swallowing it. Parent didn't feed it, DN9 fed it to itself.
he did pull off pieces too.
