- Many people have run into trouble on their first outing on a sidecar motorcycle and have sworn never to ride one again.
In this video, we take a brief look at the physics of a sidecar motorcycle which explains why they behave the way they do.
I survived my first outing last week. it's wonderful this week
forget the countersteering BS. It confuses the issue. Countersteering is something that happens naturally on 2 wheels. Simple instruction on sidecar helpful. thanks
Not much said about shifting weight in turns.
There is an old saying amongst hack riders. It goes "you don't drive or ride a hack unit. You herd it."
about 4 k now on my ranger mostly dirt roads weeeee
Is this kind of like how you turn a BMX sidehack, because you have to lean on those to turn
at my first try i bumped into a combie
i could die but m here, alive
almost one meter and i will be dead
dying is scary
gonna try again
Most important thing when driving anything is common sense.
Bullshit. Get training.
I like the Euro how to ride a Sidecar motorcycle that's included with the owner's manual when you buy the bike it is very good and recommended to read it over and over and over till you get it in your head I thought I had it down pack till I turned my street real sharp the chair came in the air I went off the road did all the wrong things and ended up in the bushes don't have to hit me twice I didn't know as much as I thought I did it's very easy to overturn the sidecar rig and have it land on you anytime I've seen a sidecar for sale with rollover damage it turns out it's from an estate sale as well
They have new drivers ed courses at motorcycle dealers specially Harley shops that deal with Trikes and sidecars for training cost $150 money well spent
How can i have 2 side carts. To keep the balance
You can't. Buy a trike, or a car.
Oh jeeze, just ride the bike slow on some back roads.
First day out I almost died only TWICE
getting it up on 2 wheels with 7 drunk passangers is much more challenging but 🙈 can be done. only for the brave lol
+Lee Bradley Haha, yep! You're a braver man than most!
Still wrong side....sorry, no 2-wheel drive. Fonz.
Australia!
cool
Your carriage is on the wrong side
😂 Lol
If u cant do this by nature, you dont need to be on it.
Wrong wrong, WRONG! Like many skills, needs to be learnt.
@@cycletorquedotcom i didnt need to be taught...i figured it out on my own.

$440 a day! I'd rather fall in a few ditches, like I did when I was learning to ride a bike when I was 16.
+Pete Hargreaves then again, without training you could well be digging your own ditch. A sidecar is completely different to a motorcycle, when it goes pear shaped, it can be all but assured to end up much worse than any time you stepped off a bike at 16. The more you try to correct it, the worse it generally ends up
Косорукий Урал))
Every time I see someone ride with the sidecar in the air it makes me cringe.😖😖😖
It's called fun!
Is that right that side car in the left side, makes ural motorcycles cannot be 2wd?
I think there are some challenges with it. Left V right sidecars is more a case of keeping the passenger away from oncoming traffic depending which side of the road you drive.
@@cycletorquedotcom so, did it have 2wd on righthand drive?
Baby Phat - No
@@cycletorquedotcom oh ok, thank you for answering.
I thought the word Uriel was Ukrainian for piece of s***
Will this towster (motorcycle towing cradle) work for a goldwing 1800 trike? It weighs aproximatelly 900 lbs.
rather get a little trailer for it.
