This is my new favorite song. I love all of CTEs songs. This album is certainly affected by Psychadelics, and I love it so much.

This song was so mild and soft for me at first time. But after listening full album I can say this is the calm song every album needs and I like it very much.
Guys, they took a chance and changed. They could have just went with their old style and played it safe. But they didn't, because they wanted to change.
They didn't feel like their old style was really them. I respect them for not just doing another one of their stories, which they know will be a hit for their fans.
They are doing what they love, and i respect them for that. Stop saying that disrespectful shit like "Thumbs up if you like old crown the empire better". I'm fucking tired of that shit, and i'm pretty sure that the band is too. If you liked their old style better, then there's no reason for you to show hate like this.
Constructive criticism is one thing. But plain out hate is another thing. So stop being disrespectful.
Imagine that it was you who decided to do something else because you liked doing it more, and then got a lot of hate like this.

We all need to simply realize that our favorite bands grow, each album they make reflects a little bit of what went on in their lives to inspire them to make it. We should be grateful that they continue to make new albums, and remember that they put their all into making this for us. So simply enjoy it.
I get it. You miss their old music so do I but if you call this garbage then you clearly don't realize this is their most heart felt and personal album yet. I swear people want to hear screaming so much I could scream about a frog in a pond and people would love it...

The reason I love crown the empire were for their profound lyrics and if you actually listen to this album they didn't change, the lyrics are fantastic and so deep in the album :)))))
Let me give you an advice people. Don't try to hope that the new upcoming music will be similar to their previous ones. When you will listen to a new album completely forget the image you had of how their music was, and focus on this new one. You'll find this album beautiful.

Why is everyone getting pissed? They changed their sound so what? Everyone does. Asking Alexandria, We Came As Romans, I See Stars. They changed their sound and they sound awesome. Granted, this isn't their heaviest album but it definitely good. Just accept the fact that this album is different.

Soooo for those ppl who think that CTE is going soft, have you ever heard their song Cross Out Bones????? Cuz there are more cleans than screams from Dave AND it is one of their old songs, so do you all hate that song too? I personally really like it btw.

That's not the reason why people dislike the new album. The marketed it as being some new and original. On top of that, they said that their other albums wasn't the, "Real them". We started liking their music because of their unique and theatrical style. They completely changed their sound and stopped making the music that the fans loved. I don't think the album is bad, just very disappointing. I miss the heavy and theatrical style of the old albums, I don't like this soft space theme.

I see your point, but THEY weren't happy with that style. In an interview, Andy was talking about how fake it made them feel and how it left a toll on them because they just couldn't keep that stuff up. This is the first album full of THEIR raw emotions. Personally, I love it. It really shows how they've matured over the years. To be able to say "We need to change for ourselves" while knowing that they would get backlash (As Brandon said on his twitter) is just amazing of them. I'm really proud of them. This wasn't an easy thing for them to do.

i think its col ,that a band was able to decide wich direction they wanna go. since the producer smostly force them to go a specific (most radio-like) direction.

I really like the overall chill vibe that Retrograde has, personally. They're changing their sound and trying something different instead of sticking to their typical style and playing it safe, so why can't anyone respect that? I get why people might dislike this album it is kind of disappointing but I’m not saying I hate it. This is all new and we have to get used to it if we are really cte fans. They took a big risk in changing their styles which is amazing b/c not everyone is brave enough. Most of you guys shouldn’t be complaining they still have scrams in their songs imagine if they didn’t have any screams and turned into an actual pop band or worse imagine if they separated and they all weren’t a band anymore. Yes we all have opinions some of you are just hating chill in my opinion this is really good the only thing I don’t like is the space vibes but hey I still like the songs and I support them. I'm surprised people didn't see this style coming with the release of the two full band songs off of the Delux edition of their last album. They were totally poppy generic sounding songs. There are still some good songs here on this album though

every band matures and makes changes to their next record its a part of life accept that, will cte ever make a record like the fallout or the resistance again? maybe or maybe not but its our job as a fan base that if we like the direction their taking show some love and respect their decision, but if u enjoy their old style find a band thats similar no offense to metalcore or anything(because i actually play in a metalcore band lol) but every band has their own style mixed with the genre but its all the same to a certain extent basically if u enjoy retrograde you'll like whats to come next for cte if not find just stfu, stop bitching, and listen to their old music and find another band that is almost similar them today, case closed
