This brings back memories of being at my Aunt's house in Yokohama. I remember how my cousins, sibling, mum, aunt and grandma would all help ourselves from a giant pot full of a very similar dish (just without the crab and shungiku).
Oh my lord does this ever look yummy. I wish so much I had a plate right this minute. I think this is one of the best looking dishes you’ve made. Although everything you cook looks awesome.

That looks like an elaborate banquet dish that you would serve in the finest restaurant - but it's really just soup with a lot of different ingredients in it. I guess there are all kinds of different ways you could make it - if you can get crab :-)
King crab is crazy stuff. You only eat the legs and claws. However, they are packed with meat. And that one in the film is not even a big one, LOL. The meat is the best shellfish I have ever tried.
