Creators had a golden opportunity to make Die Hard and Family Matters the same universe.
Absolutely golden. Bruce Willis guest stars where they work through their PTSD. They bring up “the plaza incident” a few times a season. Everyone shows a quiet awe inspired respect for Winslow/Powell (had to do an identity change after the incident and move). He’s funny but quiet at times. Not afraid to get serious. He’s already smoked two people (1 deserving) and he’s close friends with the baddest cop in the US.
Erkel knows he can push the big guy a bit too far and he’s always tip toeing around “the plaza incident.”
