Hmm. I'm gonna be frank, but maybe you're not watching the right videos. Don't watch advanced tutorial by already good youtubers. The videos you watch may also not align with your style. Moreover, the problem may be the way you comprehend a tutorial and apply it. Because 2 years of watching tutorials and none working? The problem may be with you.
@@meovionaI agree. That’s why it’s ether to watch people closer to your skill level than a master. I got nothing from this video because I feel like it was a bit too advanced. Brushes with overlapping opacities always make me feel confused and overwhelmed even though I can just blend it

I personally can't find any videos and if I do, most youtubers assume you know how to to everything and just explain color theory. I'm someone who needs to understand why a certain step must be done otherwise I don't understand the process lol
Thanks so much. In general I’m not good or fond of coloring even when doing traditional so trying to do it digital was even more of a nightmare but this actually makes more sense and seems like you can even apply some of these methods to traditional 👁👁

I don't have an ipad and my phone is not good for digital art, I'm 20 years old(&broke) and I feel like I'm already missing a lot :))) I'm still drawing traditionally like sketching and stuff, the materials used in traditional art is expensive too hehe unlike digital art all the brushes and other materials are available to use, must be niceeee. anw, this video gives me hope, I hope one day I can be like you too! ^_^
I love your videos and the way you teach. Every time I can I see this to practice it in my art style, by doing that I discovered that I also need to improve in front view shadowing so I wanted to ask if you please could make this same technique but with a front view face character. Wow thank you so much, this tutorial actually helps me figured out alot on how to color, I'm using csp and still trying to figure it out, like why are my coloring look so dirty/muddy, it's because of the colors (obviously, but I'm too dumb to figured it out), you have to play alot with the hue wheel (don't be afraid, you can still undo to try another color) and the brush pressure (opacity is the most important one). One last thing, I think that using soft brush for base, shadows, highlights and use hard brush for line art is pretty helpful (tho I felt like people already knew this, I'm just dumb).

Tip: if you don’t want the color to block the sketch lines make a new layer after the sketch and put the layer to “multiply”

Is there a "Blend" tool like this in Photoshop? I tried the smear tool but it pulls the shading instead of just blurring the edges like I wanted
