Nikki their is a Facebook group called breast implant removal support group. I have been part of it for over a year, and learned a lot through the women in their through their experiences. Just thought I would put it out their, only because when I started thinking about it, I couldn't get good information on the process etc and when I would go to consults the PS would try and sell me a bigger implant. 11:34 i just talked to my therapist about that, about how i usually keeps things in, because i’m afraid it will define who i am, she actually told me that those part, those angry, sad and “bad” parts of me don’t define me entirely. they are just parts of who a person is and it doesn’t mean people will only see you for them. and i think it’s really important even if it’s hard, to actually let those parts out (if it’s rational of course) and not be afraid of the others reaction because they know that you are more than that. I don’t know if that’s clear lol but i think it’s important. :) love you and really good video as always❤️

I just had an explant surgery with capsulectomy and no lift 3 weeks ago Friday after having implants for 2.5 years and I am so so so happy I had it done. I always liked my smaller chest and never even thought of implants until I got into fitness and everyone had them and I let images I saw influence me. I knew the night before my surgery that I was making a mistake and also as soon as I woke up after surgery I immediately regretted it. For me there was no upside to having them. I didn't like how they felt on the inside or out. I didn't like doing certain exercises anymore. And I didn't like how I looked in clothes anymore. I watched a lot of UA-cam videos of people that had them removed and the common theme was they were all very happy with their decision to remove and had wished they had done it sooner. I even had a friend from school reach out to me and tell me it was the best decision she ever made. When I woke up from explant surgery I knew instantly that I had made the right decision. The first week they don't look that great but I'm really very happy with them/the way they look with only being 19 days post op. And I know they will improve even more once I can start doing chest exercises again. Even if they would have looked really bad I still think I would have been happy with my decision because the level of comfort I have and the feeling of freedom is worth more than anything. I absolutely love the doctor I went to and would highly recommended her to anyone (though she is a ways away from you she might be worth the commute). So incredibly caring and did a wonderful job. Staff was amazing as well.

And that's how I knew immediately that I had made the right choice. I kept saying "I'm so happy" over and over. I had to travel almost 3 hrs one way to go to the doctor I did but she was so worth it. Her name is Dr Christine Kelley and she is located in Indianapolis. Her and her staff were stellar. They called me several times after my surgery to check on me (first surgery I think they called once). I saw her at my 6 day post op appointment to have the drains taken out which she removed herself where she had me lay down and do breathing techniques and I didn't even feel it (first surgery a nurse had me sitting upright and just yanked them out of me, it hurt so bad). Operating day there two people in the room, music was playing, they had this warm air blanket on me, they were joking around, they didn't strap me down or bring the light over my head until I was asleep (first surgery there were a ton of people in the room, no music, no talking to me, people taking my arms/strapping them down, putting a mask over my face, and they brought the light over my head). I was literally so frightened that I wanted to jump off the table. The difference in treatment is night and day. I know it's going to be a harder decision for you because of your job and the not knowing of what you will look like. But you are athletic with tight skin so I don't think you will have problems. I'm not a doctor so I'm no expert but just based on my experience with having children and knowing how big a belly gets and how it can shrink back to normal and now experiencing my own explant and watching my body return to normal I just don't think you will have problems. I am so much happier/confident with my shirt off in this moment than I was with implants. Kinda crazy that I never experienced being self conscious about my boobs until I got fake ones, lol.
