You must be the devs/creators. If its any help/encouragement, after merely watching a minute of this vid, i wanna buy the game! You manage to tick A LOT of boxes (good ones) without hittng the BAD ones. Obviously my opinion may change after playing, but going off my intuition, im gonna LOVE this! Keep up the great work folks!
@@StunForge I really like your prioritization mechanic! (As mentioned in the video, it would be great to have a 'crowd control' targeting option that would fire at the location which would hit the most enemies.)
@@KeithOlson We implemented a AOE Function today, will be live tomorrow with the release :) It focuses most monsters in a Area, its really cool with the Vulcano Mortar!
A promising prologue! Nice graphics and interface, interesting mechanics. And it's cool that the developers are active with the community. Best of luck, I'll be waiting!
Looks great' I love unique tower defence games. I'd like to see more conventional towers, like mortar and cannon towers, mixed in with all the magical stuff.
Very interesting looking game. Especially intrigued by the focus priority system. Promises some very nice tactical depth. Will be looking out for the release for sure
ty for the video realy like the demo, have played about 5 times what i would realy like, is to be able to configure a standardbehavior for each tower, so i dont have to repeat that every time i set one up. great job so far!
Ooof watching that decision making was painful lol You play a lot of these strategy games. You should take some time to develop some general battle and economy doctrines to increase your gaming abilities. There's a lot of strategies that are universal across most games. And once you learn them they stick with you, reducing the mental load, the confusion and indecision, and increases the speed of your decision making. For example: -quick, single target towers are best used as to kill stragglers, and should be a target mix of lowest hp enemies and closest enemies. Rate of fire is also best upgrade on these. That's all to reduce damage wasted when overkilling. -high dps single target towers are best used on high hp targets, and you can place them anywhere, really, but near the end is somewhat better. You want your AoE damage from other towers to deal all their damage first, to avoid wasted damage, but usually and eventually AoE damage becomes negligible compared to high single target dps so it only matters early game. -chainlightning is best used targeting fast and high hp targets, and placed after standard AoE towers but before all the single target towers -with economy you always want to focus on the highest possible economic growth rate, reserving only enough resources for surviving. -do the math. The time you waste on math is usually smaller than the time you waste from having to restart after dying and reach the point at which you made a dumb decision and doomed your run. Building that workshop is easy math... and easily a terrible investment at that point in the game. 75 lumber for 10% cost reduction means you need to spend 750 wood on towers alone before you even get your return on investment!
Seems like a improved version of a game called rogue tower I believe, heavy back loaded defense doesn’t seems to be very effective against the masses of enemys
Heya! Youre absolutly right. The idea of creating the game came from playing Roguetower + merging it with a Strategy Element and more interesting decisions.
Your English is absolutely amazing, but in the interest of it becoming even amazing-er: Quarry - the “a” is pronounced like “o” the same way the “a” is pronounced in “quarter”. I applaud you for exposing yourself to the insanity-inducing illogic of pronouncing English words!
The normal "Nordhold" slated for Q1 2025 seems to be the page for the release version. You can wishlist it there and possibly buy when it releases. Nordhold:Origins is the steam page for the free pre-release playtest demo
Cool game but stop exploring new territory without putting at least 1 tower on them first. Consider balancing the resources in town vs defense. Too many die rich.
You will be able to have alot of towers if you get the hang on it! Its a Roguelite so you will slowly get more progress and already in the Prologue where it goes until Wave 20 you will be able to build 30-40 Towers easily if done right. In the Fullgame you will probably have hundrets of towers sitting on the Battlefield :)
Thank you for playing the Game and creating a Video. Appreciate it alot!🥰

Love being able to spend meta currency during the run.
This looks really cool and I hope you cover it in a series

Looks like a nice blend of game metas, thanks for showcasing it
This looks super tactical and interesting.
I'd love watching a bunch of this

Huh I actually want to play this modern take on TD. Can't wait for release.

I think the Tower Upgrade cost starts at 20. But goes down with -5 per wave. Until it hits 0 and you get a Free Levelup.
Downloaded this after the second defense stage. Very promising game!

lol the first mortar shot got me xD

Great Introduction, thanks for that top content
Get out of the comments, super good game, watch him play it and then come back here, say mushroom ;)
This looks like a very fun game! Cinda like a upgraded Rogue towers in my eyes :) Might be recency bias on my part :P
Hi, Stunforge here! Rogue Tower was a huge inspiration to the Team! Really a great game where all of us sinked hundrets of hours.
I wish there was a multiplayer online competitive game like Legion TD / Green Circle TD / Stronghold (warcraft 3 mods)

Where is the difference between: Nordhold 1. Quartal 2025 and Nordhold: Origins 30. Aug. 2024 ??
origins is the free prologue that I was playing in this video
The normal "Nordhold" slated for Q1 2025 seems to be the page for the release version. You can wishlist it there and possibly buy when it releases.
Nordhold:Origins is the steam page for the free pre-release playtest demo
hi!!! did anyone knows a game like this one??' or similar, i want to play and I already finished the demo
Tried to buy it, but it's not currently available on the steam store.
it is free :) it comes out tomorrow on steam "Nordhold: Origins"
Not out yet. You can wishlist.
Having no clue about this game I'd say what you did wrong was, some of the stuff you built, you should have probably built something else instead 🤪
Cool game but stop exploring new territory without putting at least 1 tower on them first. Consider balancing the resources in town vs defense. Too many die rich.
The premise is like tower defense manhwa...
reminds me of old AOE2 mods
Take a look at hexguardian as well, it’s a similar style Tower Defense and map building game
I think you get free level up every 4 turns
Basicly the cost reduction per Round is 5Gold, so the higher the level of a tower, the longer it needs to get a free upgrade :)
My guy is losing the previous rounds and then goes to build more econ 🤣
Can't buy it on steam right now.
not out yet :) Comes out tomorrow!
@@StunForge really? Nice!
