I'm on a gap year and got 2460, band 3. I've got 9 9's and 3 A*'s so I was thinking that I could apply strategically to unis such as aston, queens belfast, keele and sunderland but I don't know if they'd let me in based on my terrible ucat. Should I play it safe and apply to pharmacy or give low ucat med schools a shot?
Hi. Thanks for reaching out! There's still a lot you can do, but it really depends on your individual circumstances. It goes a bit deeper than just X GCSEs, Y A-Levels & Z UCAT score. Might be worth having a chat with our admissions team who can help you here: www.future-doc.com/courses/get-1-on-1-mentoring-to-get-into-medicine
I’m a graduate student , I got 2450 💀 much lower than I expected , and I’m so disappointed because I worked so hard , but I’m willing to apply for undergrad and pay the tuition fees. Would I still have a chance of getting in generally if I apply strategically?
Hi As mentioned in the video there are some universities who place less emphasis on the UCAT score where you may be able to strategically apply, this may be better than not applying at all. All the best with your application!
Thanks for the informative video ! I have a score of 2650 and band 3 .. do I have a chance and which uni can I consider .. Iam an international student.. Thanks !
Hello Sir, I am an international student . What marks are submitted to the universities in the UK if you want to pursue medicine? Especially if you have a IGCSE Certificate and an Advanced Placement (AP) certificate .Since I have those two certificates can I apply to med school or I have to take the UCAT test first?
A good idea is to look at the entry requirements for international students on the university website. You can also email the admissions teams to check what they may require. You will also have to sit the UCAT exam in the cycle you are applying for.
Hello sir , I hope you can help me reach a convincing answers. Why should a male doctor examine a female patient? This means there is embarrassment for the patient and for the doctor, and the doctor can also exploit the patient sexually without her noticing and thinking that this is part of the examination. Thank you in advance. How can a doctor avoid sexual harassment during examinations?
Thank yoy for your video. My daughter ucat score 2770.band 1 now. Expect 3 a* a level and gcse 9 8 subject. Is it okay apply ucl, imperial and kings colleges. Please help.
Hi! Congratulations to your daughter! You can watch this short video on some of the cut off scores for universities. UCL and Imperial are using the UCAT for the first time this year hence there is no information on what scores they are looking for. ua-cam.com/users/shortsAZCiE0si7cw?si=Ob-nz7Ldq_Xpz5ls I hope this helps! Good luck

Maybe have a look at cardiff, they highly value GCSE!
