I think Liverpool have changed their selection process. There isn't a weighting anymore. Stage 1 is ranking the UCATs, Stage 2 is seeing if you meet the entry requirements, If the UCAT is 'competitive' and you meet the entry requirements of 15 points you have a chance at interview.
hey as you mentioned about the university of lancashire, is it like buckingham so like a bit more pricey? Also someone told me they only take north west london students is that true ?do they not consider other students around UK at all?
Hey Bidisha! UCLan are quite bespoke offering places to a majority of international and selected areas of the uk. I highly recommend checking more info on their website - www.uclan.ac.uk/undergraduate/courses/medicine-mbbs Hope this helps and all goes well! :)
Hey Piku, there are a variety of options for student loans which I talk about here - ua-cam.com/video/LlVNPenHF6I/v-deo.html Yes I’ve got one. Thanks so much :)
Hey Robyn, great question! I’m not 100% sure what Queens requires with number of GCSE results. I would highly recommend contacting the medical school admissions office (phone: 028 9097 3838) to get up to date info. Hope you get sorted :)
Hey Favour! Thank you for your lovely comment, I’m not very familiar with Astons entry requirements but would recommend you checking out this link for lots more information - www.aston.ac.uk/hls/aston-medical-school/advice-zone Hope all goes well :)
Hi there, great question! I’m not very familiar with the international UCAT scoring for each university. If you are looking for exact cutoffs I’d recommend getting in touch with medical schools. Hope that helps :)
Laura I got an interview offer for Buckingham and the interview was supposed to be yesterday but they cancelled it because of unprecedented offers they had which is unfair with the amount of preparation I had should I take a gap year and apply to the same university which only has Jan start next on 2023 I will be 19 by then currently 17 yrs . Or shd I sit for ucat this year I just graduated this jear in fact and came to know late about ucat
Huge congrats on your offer for interview! That seems really unfortunate and unfair, I would highly recommend a gap year from my personal experiences and definitely reapply to medical schools. I would suggest applying to a variety of Med schools and taking the time to prepare for UCAT during the gap year as well. I hope things go really well for you and best of luck :)
