I’m so sad this is the memory of a lot of people with religion. Religion is a chosen thing that should not be forced. Do I believe parents should guide their kids yes but not like this.
Not sure if this is your own story, but if it is, I hope things get better for you. I'm trans and I haven't and probably will never tell my parents, just in fear of what would happen since they're quite religious, and I make sure to delete anything my mom could find since she also goes through my phone without me knowing when. It's a shame how people like us can't even tell their own parents how they feel about things and have to rely on friends/others for support.
