Th isF1-inspired racing shoe shares all the features of the popular Fastlane shoes, but are now offered in a waterproof version. The Fastlane WP are constructed of a lightweight and high abrasion resistant microfiber that is backed with a breathable waterproof membrane. This lightweight riding shoe has some moto-inspired features that include a dual density ankle cup, shifter reinforcement plates and a heel counter. The Fastlane WP shoes feature the Alpinestars laser ablated sole with an medial stain resistant panel that will help keep these kicks lookin' fresh. Covered laces and a safety velcro strap keep the Fastlane check and reflective panels at the heel help increase visibility. The Fastlane WP are available in Black with white accents or Black with yellow accents, perfect for the next time you go rushing down the freeway.

Yes, except from the top :-). Being a short cuff boot, it will undoubtedly let water in from the top unless you have a waterproof pant overlapped. -CK

The Fastback is definitely that slight step up, offering a high-top approach, as opposed to more of a shoe with additional ankle coverage. -CK

I definitely prefer the Fastlane over the S-MX 1 boots. Another good one would be the TCX X-Street Waterproof shoes. -CK

What would you recommend more the Alpinestars Fastlane WP Shoes or the Alpinestars S-MX 1 Boots, I looking for a boot in that price range that proves great protection and a casual everyday style. I don't mind slight discomfort if it yields better protection and waterproofing.

So debating between this one and the non-wp version. Do you know if this will breathe just as good in hot weather as the non-wp fastlanes? Thanks!

Anything with a waterproof liner is inherently less breathable than one without. However, the membrane that Alpinestars is designed to be specifically breathable and not like a plastic bag. -CK
