Hi Rachel, a super nice video and you are a super nice person!!! I only recently discovered your channel and watched a bunch of your videos! Love your natural and unpretentious attitude! Wish you all the best for the seasons ahead! I have just become a bugger fan of yours than what I was before!!!
Whenever I think of postponing a ride, I'll then remember how great I feel afterwards! Love the scenery of your route - would love to get over there once we're traveling again.
Remember the nasty crash you had it wasn't nice and remember how long it taken you to recover, love the open road in Wales ride by devils bridge ( Aberystwyth ) now and then your clip as remind me just how lovely it is around that way. Hope to see you on Red Bull TV soon 😉
Loving this other side of you,Rach! Nothing wrong with road riding. Always nice to enjoy some scenery and that scenery sure looks nice! More of this content!
already liked it and I haven't even seen it yet... been a fan ever since the Atherton family. cant wait to see u racing again!! sending stoke from Tasmania.
Delightful video Rachel such a stunning place to live . You must miss riding worlds but made the right decision to be 100% . We ALL want to see you back in the pack especially now there is fresh competition chomping at the bit ! "I'm not stopping I'm just looking at the view"!!! .... you stopped . Keep these lifestyle vlogs coming !
Just found this channel. It’s minging weather today but thanks to your bubbly enthusiasm, I’m inspired to go out. Hope you do more vlogs. Also your hardline commentary was great.
Nice! Was thinking about riding today aswell but was just too cold today. Waiting for skiing season now. Btw: What i often do is rolling my jackets up and tying the arms of the jacket around the handlebars. Works pretty well.
Very awesome! If it weren't for you, Janeen would have gotten a bike to go riding with me. Thank you for sharing your love for riding from your fan in Phoenix AZ - USA.
Thanks for sharing, loved this, lovely to see the gorgeous countryside and hear your thoughts, can't wait to see you back racing but definitely more like this too, thanks Rachel
Hi from Canada! UA-cam’s algorithm has suggested this video and was right, I loved visiting this route with you. First time seeing anything from you, but it bodes well, instant subscription. Hope you find you race shape soon.
It's a great honor to see you in this video actually enjoy riding the road.i usually save the road ride for cooler weather. Thanks for sharing your adventure 👍
brilliant...! thank you sharing your ride with us...what a beautiful part of the UK you live in . I wish I could find the motivation to start cycling again at 70 but I just can't face the initial period of pain building some stamina and fitness.
You will soon be back Rach ! Doing the business as you do Back to winning ways I'm sure ! I think we all agree it would of been wonderful to see you competing in the world champs ! & The two races in maribor !! Will it be next season now or is there a chance for one of the last two meets in portugal ! Love the vid, it was Lovely of you to show us around on the road bike around the wonderful Dyfi area ! Keep positive Rach ! You will come back better than ever ,keep believing ! Keep strong 💪🤙👍🌲🌲🚵🌲🌲🌲😃
That was a good video and it's nice listening to how you find road riding & why it works for you. Great views and scary downhill's with only rim brakes, hahahahaha
It's always so cool to see when superstars are personable, down to earth people. I think I haven't seen you without a full-face before and you know what, you look and sound pretty damn similar to a good friend of mine...that's crazy. :) Wish you all the best in these effed up times.
I love the country side ,Beautiful scenery, Beautiful woman. I'm glad that you survived that road crash with that car. Be safe,p.s. love your Beautiful Dog. Thanks
You said a UA-cam road ride isn't that interesting and on it's own you are probably right but being an Aussie with Welsh parents and watching a world class rider showing us into your world is interesting .... and the scenery is fantastic and makes me want to go over there again .... good luck with the leg recovery but make sure you are 100% physically & more importantly mentally ready 🤘
I love Corris. Thanks for reviving a few memories. I guess it's going to be a while before we can get in to do the cliMachX again. I rode up through the bike park back in 2016 and saw Affy cutting trees down. You guys have done wonders in 4 years. I must come back next year.
We miss you in DH Rachel! I am a huge fan of all the Athertons. Just bought a DYFI sweater from the website! Fits perfect. I recommend the online shop, it has a bunch of great affordable stuff!
those slippery cow grid as a tram rail gives me a chill... I had an accident this year with less than that when crossing a tram rail... I hate road bikes for that because thin tires like that are always a risk on wet conditions... I had enter it totally right and prepared to cross it without any problems but kissed the road...
Didn´t come here to actually watch you suffer on a road bike, even though it was interesting because I haven´t owned one yet. But this heartbreaking scene when the cafe was closed... :P I was really feeling with you... What's the world worth without proper coffee anyway... 😢😂 Ty for the upload very much Rachel^^
hey girl, keep your head up, you've got nothing to prove. It's just sad for the others cause there is a lack of reference without you on the track. Would love to see you back again, but it's got to feel right... just getting back to riding aswell after Shoulder seperation and ACL+MCL. Seeing you Tahnee working your way back helped a lot in keeping my rehab going. Gravelriding and Swimming it is for me to find my balance ... miss Kitesurfing and Snowboarding so much though but for now its only MTB
I've only just got back into riding a bike after many years. I'm 61 now, so I find uphill riding very challenging. I thought I was breathing so hard because of poor fitness level, but having seen this I feel much better now :-)
some hot girl passed me on her road bike like i was standing still, i was on my 34 pound all mountain, mountain bike with great big knobbies... i never worked so hard in my life to keep up with that girl.... at the top i was rewarded by her acknowledging my existence, she said "Hi"
It’s not the same without you there! Crazy action though. Hope to see you out there soon. Just know that your a legend in the sport so keep your spirits high. Love watching you rip.
Such beautiful countryside! I would never be able to tell anyone where I've been because I can't say the Welsh names, lol. My mom's family is Welsh but I didn't get the pronunciation gene apparently.
Wales is soooo good for cycling, I live in North wales and its insane how many good trails are here. Always cheers me up feeling like I've conquered a mountain haha!
One of the best mountain bike riders the world has ever seen scared of cattle grids 🤣 priceless. Love it 😀
I too had a giggle at that thought, huge drops at warp speed v a Cattle Grid. Great vid
it's those skinny tires and that drop bar. if she were on her downhill rig she would blast right over it.
pro tip: you can watch movies on kaldroStream. I've been using it for watching all kinds of movies recently.
@Paxton Hunter yup, I've been using KaldroStream for months myself =)
"I'm not stopping, just looking at the view" 😂 I've used that one plenty of times 😂
