Same place for the 1300 I hope? Will have to check when I get home tonight. I've been watching a bunch of YT vids on this, and it made zero sense to me why you have to tear down half the bike to fill coolant. Poor engineering....unless of course that fill tube is there on the 1300 too! EDIT...nvm, poor engineering it is. Just found another vid showing this same procedure. That fill tube is for the reserve tank "only". If you want to fill the radiator with coolant, you have to remove tank and do it the hard way.
I hate to be that guy. But the reason you check the radiator itself is because it's near impossible for it to siphon some back in once it gets too low. In my case it was a quart low because the last guy flushed it himself and didn't do a good job. It would have caused some damage and of course it would have happened to me on the road
Just got my vtx 1300 today. I read the owners manual when i get a car, truck or motorcycle .. yea, i know ... i can not find the reserve tank! Where is it? To check my levels? I've also never had a radiator, only air cooled bikes.
Thank you again I didn’t want to take the gas tank of a show me a better way to meet you for the channel
You are a god send. It’s like people try and make it hard on the other videos. Thanks
Exactly what I was looking for. Thanks man
Wow thanks that makes it so easy appreciate it
that's great for filling the overflow resevoir...
It's part of the same system
Got dammit you did it exactly where I was looking for. Thank you
Isn't this just how you fill the reserve tank though? I thought you still have to fill the main tank from underneath the gas tank.
From what i was told that only fills the Reservoir and not the radiator so even if the reservoir is full your radiator could still be low..
Run the bike to cycle the coolant.
Damn so easy ! Thanks man.
F'n A! Right on, Thxs for the video 👊
Thank you very much

It's under the bike
@@RolandSpecialSauce i found it ... 8 months ago
If it's prior to 2005!
Not there on the 2006
Not my 1800!!
My tank is underneath, and that's where my fill tube is.
Marry me.
