Russo doesn't contribute much to the beef, and Corny seems way more mellow than he used to be when talking about Russo. With that being said, it is hands down one of the juiciest beefs in history. Those rants are out of this world.
They literally said at the beginning, they're doing it because they missed a day and they have to fill their advertising quota. So I wouldn't be expecting it to come back full-time. Unless they get rid of the NXT review, maybe.
Cornette and Russo aren't just philosophical but it is how they know each other exist. You look at just who they are: Jim: Very Southern but atheist. Vince: Evangelical from New York Both are outsiders in their own cultures, and yet their they couldn't unite in on a simple level of being that. It's kinda sad in a way.
I was at a house show during the time Del Rio was champion and Punk was his opponent. It ended with Del Rio getting himself DQ'ed, but then the Raw GM forced Ricardo Rodriguez to get squashed by Punk to send the crowd home happy.
To be fair, Punk isn’t the only person Triple H has had issues with either. He’s had a lot of backstage beefs that they didn’t mention here, one of the bigger ones being Jericho.
After that great Michaels hart rivalry dvd there was also a dvd about the rock and John Cena rivalry..... It wasn't very good I wouldn't recommend it haha
The Punk/Triple H thing reminds me a lot of Jeff Gordon in 90s NASCAR. The hot shot california kid coming in and beating the old gaurd of southern good ole boys is a lot like the indie darling punk coming in to the land of the giants and immediatly being super popular. A loose connection I know, but one I see.
I will maintain that Cody was a major glue guy backstage in AEW. He kept the Elite in check, was there to help strengthen Tony etc. As soon as he left, everything fell apart and that included the Punk situation.
Flair says back in 1991 he offered to drop the world heavyweight championship to Scott steiner but Scott turned it down to continue tagging with his brother
Biggest modern day beef, CM Punk x AEW fans. Let's see if that makes your list. I swear I have seen so many big accounts, accounts that should know better throwing diggs at CM Punk. One of my favorites are mentions that he can't draw and that he is made out of glass. Which can be humourous but then you look at their post history and no they are CEREAL about it. Got their spoons out and everything. Drives them nuts when you point out that injured he still draws the highest rated segments.
It's a fact that Goldberg back in the day was way to green as a wrestler and Bret's injury could have been avoided, so yeah I would have been pissed too. BUT with all the other injuries and mileage Bret had, I don't think he would have still been wrestling and making the big bucks when Goldberg came back and to not make the same mistakes againGoldberg made sure that he was a better and safer wrestler, so I don't think it's ok to start that beef anew. but maybe Bret is just a bitter old man
I will not accept any billion dollar Ted segment slander. Those skits were funny as hell when I was 11 and they’re funnier now that I know the meta behind it
the funny thing about Ted vs Vince is Ted sold to Warner Brothers and got a spot in the company and then they pushed him out. Vince sold to TKO and got pushed out. LOL
Wild to me how you guys seem to cherish Dave's opinions more than Jim's. Dave has as much wresting experience as my sock. Jim is talking from a place of experience of what works and what doesn't, Dave has never had to make these kind of decisions, just a fan with an audience, good for him but I just don't get the hate towards Jim.
Dave is the punching bag, the headline grabber, Jim doesn't get the publicity. Dave did the star ratings, I don't think as many people care anymore. Jim hates everything modern. If a guy shows old school attributes he will like them. But, if they do a couple too many flips, they are mud show and ruining the business. Dave worked for WWE in the eighties, he had a falling out with them and has hated WWE since. I do like Cornette, don't listen to his podcast much, never liked Meltzer.
@Bayley4ever You see I think that is the misconception about Jim. People like to say he hates modern wrestling. Yet if you listen to the podcast he has given praise to both AEW and WWE stuff. What Jim likes has nothing to do with the era it just has to make sense and not put everyone at risk of early retirement. Again his perspective is that of someone running a show.
I'm sorry Steve, but that Vince impression makes me super uncomfortable (my opinion) and especially the context behind the quote just makes it feel gross.
I just recently started getting recommended that Gotch buries Enzo video again
Honorable mention Friendo Club and.... Those Other Guys
Cornette and Russo should have been number one.
There could be a whole list of cornette beefs
Russo doesn't contribute much to the beef, and Corny seems way more mellow than he used to be when talking about Russo. With that being said, it is hands down one of the juiciest beefs in history. Those rants are out of this world.
Pretty one sided
it's the longest running feud, lol.
Right like cornetts rage towrds Russo knows no limits
I Hope you're keeping it around this time. I love countout.
They literally said at the beginning, they're doing it because they missed a day and they have to fill their advertising quota. So I wouldn't be expecting it to come back full-time. Unless they get rid of the NXT review, maybe.
Countout is like Terry Funk. They keep trying to retire it but the people keep making it come back.

14:36 lmao this was perfect
#9 is going to ruin my UA-cam algorithm again, isn't it?
😂
MY FAVORITE SERIES RETURNS❤❤❤
Been watching countout since like 2016 sheesh
Steve and Larson. Thank you for introducing me to Will Forte’s Ted Turner impression.
Goldberg vs Bret Hart, the forever feud!
Bill and Bob Friendo LOL
After that great Michaels hart rivalry dvd there was also a dvd about the rock and John Cena rivalry..... It wasn't very good I wouldn't recommend it haha

I will never say no to more content. Lol
That Macho Man rap has the same rhythm as Twas the Night Before Christmas.
Enzo could have been huge if pushed correctly
As a kid the Nacho man and Huckster segments made laugh so fn hard
1 should Scott Steiner vs math
Flair says back in 1991 he offered to drop the world heavyweight championship to Scott steiner but Scott turned it down to continue tagging with his brother
Hey friendos!
I believe it's pronounced "don't be skurred." To make the incredibly tortured rhyme with "heard" work.
I’m gonna say this my number 1 will probably always be a Edge/Lita and Matt

The IWC: Never before in the history of mankind have lives less lived been more documented.
I was like what year is this
I wonder if Bret Hart found out about the locker-headbutting thing and that's what changed his mind.
Vince was mad because Ted was a better business man
Vince McMahon vs safe work place,
Vince McMahon vs giving fans what they want
Kevin Nash vs Torn quad
I legit thought that Bret was just always bitter toward Goldberg lol
It's a fact that Goldberg back in the day was way to green as a wrestler and Bret's injury could have been avoided, so yeah I would have been pissed too. Safer when he nearly killed taker?
Now I gotta leave real quick and see this Ted Turner impression
I will not accept any billion dollar Ted segment slander. Those skits were funny as hell when I was 11 and they’re funnier now that I know the meta behind it
The DQ Schmee-Q story is wrong, it was Russo who ran and complained to Vince for Jim yelling at him in front of the boys.
The only real life wrestling beef I enjoy is angus
Let me tell you something! Wrestling should be like 1970s NWA. Another review pls haha
You should do a top 100 one sided beefs bret hart has with people
Knew you guys would pull this outta the blue during the conclusion Kendrick and Drake beef😅😅😅
Were they working us the whole time or was it jealousy? (Goldberg and Brett)
Cornette/Meltzer is a far more interesting feud than Cornette/Russo is now considering Cornette and Meltzer used to be friends.
Unlike everyone who has a wrestling podcast i actually like Cornette...no i don't agree with everything he says but i don't get the IWC hate for him.
Ted was the better business man though…
the funny thing about Ted vs Vince is Ted sold to Warner Brothers and got a spot in the company and then they pushed him out. Vince sold to TKO and got pushed out. LOL
Hard to figure out who I dislike more Cornette or Russo
Not enough Horse.
Steve and Larson vs those other guys…
jim crockett bought territories, vince bought tv time.. wonder why one is still in business and the other isn't...
Let's go!

Gotch is a clown
