Until this update, I have not been able to get my a7 IV to connect to the Creators' app on my Pixel. It never worked on my previous Pixel, but when I switched to Samsung, it worked. I recently went back to Pixel, and the a7 IV once again could not connect. But ever since I updated to firmware version 4.00, the Creators' app is connecting just fine to my Pixel 9 Pro XL, and I'm loving how low the latency is between Monitor & Control and the camera itself. I can finally uninstall the Monitor+ app, which was helpful but incredibly laggy.
Hello, thank you for this tutorial, I am looking for the update on Sony, for focus stacking but I do not see it for the Sony a7RIV. do you think the update is compatible with that of the a7MIV? thanks in advance
Man so many people bricking their cameras and Sony charging them to fix it, I am nervous about any firmware updates for any of my cameras. But the Sony “Monitor and Control” app is pretty sweet. I hooked up my fx30 and my new Sony NX800 camcorder to the app and could see both cameras on my iPad Pro and control the settings. Really nice app. I think I’m gonna wait a little bit and see how everybody does with his firmware update. I don’t use bracketing, but it would be nice to be able to use the Monitor & Ctrl app with it. Thanks for sharing.
@@kingghidorah8106 yeah a couple of my groups that I’m in on Facebook they updated their FX 30 and they bricked it and so many charged them over $200 to fix it. And a couple of them were under warranty. It’s bullshit. I guess they were updating it wirelessly and something happened in between. And it didn’t update completely. I always use a sd card.
Cool, many thanks! Do you know if there's any chance they'll still bring out updates for the A7C i? I know it's now a past generation, but one can always hope hahaha (and the A7iv is also a couple years old now)
Few days I would say.. Watch for "MY CAMERA DIED" videos. Follow the update instructions very closely and make sure there is only 1 update file on your SD!
Hello Sony Lovers!! I have the Sony A7 IV and the Sigma MC-11 EF to E Adapter in my Cart Almost ready to check out from B&H. I was wondering if I could use any or all of these lenses with The Sony A7 IV using the Sigma MC-11 EF to E Adapter I own the following Lenses: Canon 100-400 Canon 24-105 Canon EF 75-300mm Canon Macro28mm Samyang 2,8 100mm Macro Lens3 Rokinon 2.8/14mm 7Artisans 10mm 1:2.8 fisheye
it won't be massive til the A7IV can shoot 16ms of electronic shutter and all Sony cameras can enjoy having far more FPS in E shutter than mechanical shutter 15fps on A7IV family would be nutz.
@@marcelkrownmotorworks9842 well, it's just an easier way to stack macro photos but imagine the bug is moving or you're in a shaky situation, 10fps won't grant anything. Give A7IV 15fps!!
@@kingghidorah8106 you would also need a flash that can fire 15 fps, not sure if there is any. Unless you shoot without flash, but in macro that's hard

Was really hoping for the 2.35:1 crop mode that the A7CII has.
After this Update I have lost the af-c function on my samyang 135 1.8 lens.
So sad

Oh no! Thanks for letting me know. I'll follow up
Yes
Same here
This was the best explanation I've seen of the 4.0 update!
I have this problem where when I turn the evf in the a7iv to 120hz the tracking for af is rlly jump and unaccurate

I like that Sony still add stuff that r rlly useful
Unfortunately, version 4 in the memory card of my camera is not shown in the update section of the camera after being copied
Are they adding multiple exposure too?
I don't believe so sadly.
Yes
DO NBOT DO IT!!! I updated it last night and I had so many issues with my godox flash firing smh

Well for me and many others, it is massive, thanks to focus bracketing.
