An architect was caught climbing his way for heavengeneer and RCE did nothing! The world has seen its first omen of the apocalypse
I don't think architects are courageous enough to do something like rock climbing. Most likely a badass engineer during his daily commute.
@@ADBBuildProbably the same person who built an airport that didn't have any transport connection
😂😂😂
The first oil company that took over the oil field was named LöPö. Löpö in finnish is a shorthand word for "lämmitysöljy ja polttoöljy" meaning "heating oil and fuel oil".
Regularly used for vehicle fuel (or gas for the people over the pond). I would have been surprised to see a name like that if the game wasn't by a Finnish developer :)
this game is made in Finland 😎
Was looking for this comment. Interesting pronounciation RCE made but that can be fixed
Alt. Title: Matt becomes American for one episode
Also another way to cheese XP Is to construct a lot of I belive telephone towers. they are 1000 XP Each
America buys a lot of oil, we don’t produce that much. More accurate that Matt becomes a Saudi prince for an episode
@@ryanhamstra49Lol yeah I didn't think about that! Or he could be the british government in the early 1900s
@@Kamaleanhe's already the British government
Texas and Alaska actually, in fact, pump a lot of oil.
@ryanhamstra49 😂 Buy oil. Yes, that is how we get a bit of the tho, yes, buy.
"Lets see how they're getting on with the tornado... and they're not bothered in the slightest."
Reminds me of when i was in like 7th grade. My grandmother and i sat on her front porch and watched one touch down in the road, sweep down the street a ways, and dissipate. I was scared af back then but granny was all like "its a tornado, not a kidnapper. Now get your ass out there and play in the rain or go back in."
RCE does more architect work in his videos then actual architects do.
I think he became an architect, or was he even a real civil engineer, maybe a fake one ??
Guys, you may be onto something.
SUSPICIOUS !
In the electrical world, the big towers are "transmission", and the small ones are "distribution". Transmission connects directly to the generation plants and takes it long distances to those big transformer stations, or "substations". Those places reduce the voltage and "distribute" it to the local customers. If you have electric poles in front of your house, those cylinders are another set of transformers which reduce the voltage again to standard household levels. (Underground distribution typically uses small above-ground transformer boxes about 3-4' long on either side. For each customer. Fancy neighborhoods like them to reduce the visual impact.) Underground installations are often multiple times as expensive to install. (Earthworks.)
Transmission is usually in the hundreds of kV, or 100,000+ volts.
Distribution in my area is usually 12-34.5kV, or up to 34,500 volts.
Home electric is 120/240 volts. Most home electric is 120 but appliances and HVAC usually use 240. (US.)
I opted for underground power lines when I built my house, so I have one of those green above ground transformer boxes on my property.
@@aaronsj80ah yes, the green transformer box. Every kid has played on one, despite the warnings. A staple of the American child’s experience.
Not necessarily. In England and Wales, you used to have sub-transmission towers during the CEGB days, and some oldies still call it so. It is 132kV. But, it's distribution. So, the smaller towers/ pylons are distribution, and the monsters are transmission. You can tell the voltage level by the number of insulators if you're unsure!
@@PianoKwanMan Huh, that is interesting... I don't know much of anything about electrical systems outside of the US grid so I appreciate that little nugget of knowledge! I know UK and Europe operate things at 220v and 50Hz rather than the 120v/60Hz of US so I would assume the entire grid is modulated accordingly... 🙃
Of course, there are always exceptions to any general rules, like the High Voltage DC transmission routes.
@@Madnessnunky likewise, I know about the England and Wales network, and a little bit of Scotland (it's a whole different world up there), and nothing about USA. Perhaps do an engineer exchange 😅
not enough vehicles pop up on transport routes is because you have a depot that provides only limited amount of vehicles on WHOLE your city. so, to supply more routes you need more depots
You should make a city that is the lowest down possible and name it Archihell
I love oil. well- not as much as I love this channel
Thanks so much!

I’m loving the series so far, keep up the good work
I thought he was going to make an efficient intersection but he just made a magic roundabout.
he made all those roundabouts and then does the architect move and makes a intersection for the entire industrial zone
To formally answer the question metals and oil do run out. It takes forever, but yes they slowly produce less and less over time. There is a tab in the natural resources tab that shows the rate.
Though to counter it there is an building that raises the amount of oil you can find in deposits :)
Matt: People cheesing it on Polybridge are architects.
Matt in CS2: Lol parks make XP go brrrr!
Listening to you rabbit on about oil and engineering with my eyes closed on a mild dose of the magics i picked a few weeks back has certainly made for a pleasant sunday
I’ve always been so jealous on how good people are at building good cities in this game, but I’m also so happy that this community exists 😂
Yeah. You’re not alone. That climber at the beginning was jealous too.
2:01 Every natural disaster in games and in real life gives me chills, please help.
"that guy" *is a tree*
no
I know we don't really do draw my lifes anymore in this day and age but this guy i would be so interested in seeing
Once more Matt triggers ALL the OCD with his roads & highways.
How has this dude not made a video on Factorio yet? Seems like its right up his alley
Fun fact! 'Löpö' is a synonym for fuel in finnish!
Have you ever heard of the peanut roundabout? They built one in New Haven Connecticut. You should build one in Engitopia!!!
If CS2 is anything like the first one you should be able to zone the Oilfields and force specialized Buildings. I did that in CS1 with my loggers and farmers
I think i like the m4a1 more then the m4a1-s tho. And yeah i like cs1 more then the newer one too. Looks better definatly but the headshot rate increase. idk about that man
@@Dani3lDE xD
In C:S2, there isn’t specialized zonable industry districts. You have the general zoned industry (which is built serving one of the products), and you have the big circular radius specialized industry that is placed on top of natural resources.
Rush B!@@Spacccee
Subsidizing fossil fuels, brother?
Architect move.
We play this game exactly the same way lol... Start 100 projects, finish none haha.
I have heard you say so many times "well, we need to look into this..." Or "I wonder if I can do this," when you were already in the middle of doing something, and then forget to go back lol.
I also never can end playing because it's always just "one more thing, and then I'm done..."
4:35 "Not Engitopia 2, but EngiTWOpia"
_hits head on keyboard_ *SMACK SMACK SMACK*
Kids these days, back in my day tornadoes flew over your head and you just kept walking
The most American thing Matt's done
That train scene actually tricked me. I totally thought it was gonna be an irl train vid comparison... 😂😂😂
Finally another Cities skylines 2 video! Been waiting for another one.
Haha no way the lorries are coming from my home town. How weird to see a nod to Chatham of all places 😂
I'm expecting that XP bug will be patched by the time I get around to buying and playing this game. Not sure I would have actually paid people to use oil... I think reducing the tax rate to 0 would have been enough... and I think the net cash flow would be better.
I have a city skylines engineering question/challenge I need answered by you… could a city work with ONLY roundabouts? No straight connector roads, like roundabout directly into other round about for all the streets.
7:05 what an absolute nightmare.
11:54 - Not gonna lie, it gave me Red Forest (Chernobyl) vibes.
Matt! Next episode, build more recycling centres to make a buttload of money! Its so underrated and makes so much money!
You need to make a cargo train line to export oil
1:16 The Federal Reserve trying to reduce inflation.
Love watching your CS 2 Videos.
This game was made by Engineers but.. an ARCHITECHT manged to sneak in
4:32 YOOOOOOO I WAS ONE OF THOSE COMMENTERS EPISODE 1 LFGGG
My Santa Paddy arrived today, it's beautiful and I'm happy! Merry Bridgemas RCE!
You probably should have called it The RCE Technically a University.
Wait a damn minute there’s rock climbers lololol
RCE is a undercover architect
When an architect firm sponsors him/ invites him to a day out, he will become a sell out
7:18 yes finally a roundabout madw of roundabouts
Day 104 of asking Matt to add the Second Narrows Bridge, Ironworkers Memorial to the Wheel of Bridgetune
It is a cantilevered truss bridge, carrying 6 lanes of traffic from Vancouver to North Vancouver in B.C. across the second narrowing of the Burrard Inlet.
It's name comes from the fact that it collapsed twice during construction, which unalived 23 people in total (Hence the name, ironworkers memorial).
Renaming to EngiTWOpia has made my engineering heart smile! All is well in the world again.
You being an actual engineer makes so much sense considering the clusterf*** y'all have on your island.
as an amarican I approve
edit: keep up the work RCE
7:28 u missed the opportunity to make a roundabout made of roundabouts or smt like that i saw recently q roundabout like that and would be fun seeing one made happen
2:15 American Midwest at its finest
My City is called Chatham, I make 200000 from oil etc. so EngiTWOpia, you are exporting from me. And I worked as an engineer AND as an architect 11:17
1:07 because all trees are crazy and climb rocks
The crazy rock climber is how my parents describe their commute to school
All these roundabouts at 7:20 feels like being back in Milton Keynes
the fact that this was for oil tankers is hysterical
Sh*t this game is so addciting i just downloaded it back at tuesday and as soon as i open to try the game i was absorb by the game. I cant stop playing it because its a freaking great game and yoy Real Civil Engineer is so fun to watch!!! Hoping for more videos.
17:05
I've said this before, I know it sounds crazy, but 33 seems to come up a lot in your videos. I know you do a lot with numbers, but still......
9:38 me as a rock i do not find it offensive please make more content.
you need people, and lots of them haha. Also commercial is really needed. Get to building another residnetal city core!
can you pls make the videos a little longer, they're really relaxing
even by 10 more minutes ^-^
Oil subsidies?? He’s not even an oil baron anymore. He’s just a politician *shudders*
The district has to be called "Milton Quaynes" because of all those roundabouts in that junction.
1:10 cool
4:30 soooo cheese solutions 🧀 for XP in Cities Skylines are acceptable, but cheese solutions for bridges in Poly Bridge are not? 🤔 sounds like an architect move to me
Idk if you can still do it in cs2 but you used to be able to paint an industrial district then you could go into the options for that district and select what specific industry you wanted to be developed in that area. I honestly hope they changed it though, having that much control makes the game boring sometimes.
in CS2 you cant specify, instead its controlled by whats most profitable to produce/use, e.g. if your city had a heavy surplus of wheat, wheat would be cheap, and so a lot of industries that use wheat would arrive, in theory, although the economy simulation is in a rough state currently due to glitches.
Those industry districts and the industry DLC are replaced in cities skylines 2 as the buildings with the circular radius you can designate around it
I remember thinking of you desert oil baron playthrough from the 1st game, was wondering if that was still viable in the sequel.
Perfectly efficient railroad.
I think the belgian A15a streetsign really would be the perfect sign for Engitwopia's sky city!
1:42 i could have done that this whole time😅
Day 13 of waiting for Matt to upload Mindustry Part 2.
FFOTD: Mindustry was App Store Game of the Day on August 22nd 2022.
Day 44 of me asking Matt to continue playing Minecraft.
i agree
found it, keep it going :)
Hey RCE. if you look at your bank account, you can see that the amount is acutely going up. i think there's a bug that caused it not showing properly. not entirely sure, but i believe the last update sorted that out.
I enjoyed this PARKourpia stream
7:16
Sorry but if this is a normal thing in the UK, you all need to chill on the roundabouts.
I can't wait for the Just Stop Oil mod with the new cities skylines 2 ai, gonna be carnage.
i love the cities skylines content.... MOAAAAAR!!!!
Big Dams that make 1000mv+ and high voltage lines on both sides to outside world makes super big money
RCE should play Workers & Resources: Soviet Republic!
With all of that oil production you are about to have a lot more traffic problems.
RCE you should try out captain of industry it’s an indie game and is fairly new.
Love this series so much
Petition for Matt to call the industrial area

The most American cities skylines video
1:10 I think that's a plant.
RCE turned into an American 2:48
Recycling centers work really well for some easy cash
Geo thermal makes a ton of money, when you export the power
2 Engi 2 Topia
I’m surprised you haven’t made a train roundabout.
Now I want to see you play Turmoil
IT IS 2AM
I AM BINFGE WATCHING ENGITOPIA
You’re not an oil baron. You’re an organic farmer farming vegan leather
It’s an honest job
RCE Technical University.
Drop Out rate: 100%
upgrade ur highway with street lighting to bring lowend power cables around
Ngl Architect Island kind of looks like the eye of Quebec.
Löpö is a finnish slang word for diesel 🤣
🇺🇲: Where?
12:56 - that doesn't work, it's still random....
crazy rock climber is so random😭😭😭😭
You should make a pit for the architects
