Drop in at Ranganna Military Hotel for breakfast, lunch or dinner to chow down on rustic meaty dishes full of flavour.
Established way back in 1964, this eatery swears by its food and so do its patrons. Presently run by a husband-wife duo and their sons, the USP of the restaurant lies in the functioning of its kitchen.
In this episode of Gourmet On The Road, Food Lovers Editor, Kripal Amanna visits the 60-year-old establishment to explore its kitchen with third generation Co-owner, Sendil Kumar. He discovers that the prep here begins as early as 7am, and every dish is prepared using secret recipes and local ingredients!
He also relishes a meaty spread for lunch, tasting from a hearty mutton leg broth, to steaming hot mutton pulao, kheema gojju, ragi mudde and more!
GOURMET ON THE ROAD RATING

Worst quality.
Food quality is not at all good.
Don't waste money and time
I am not Indian and I don’t have any intention to visit this places in any point of my life yet I enjoy your video a lot. Your videos are so refreshing and your selection of historic restaurants makes me so nostalgic . Great work Sir 👍🏻.
Been eating from my childhood.. the restaurant was a very small hangout which we used to go specially for Kaal soup aka Paya and soft dosa and idli... now they have expanded the restaurant in a bigger building, so tasty and awesome...
Super
This is always on my "must visit" list when ever I travel to Bengaluru😍😍🤩 I have very found memory of this lovely hotel 😀
The best military hotel in B'lore. Mutton items are the best here. Very spacious hotel & not cramped like all other hotels. Very courteous people here. The 3rd generation owners Sendil & Sunil know how well to treat the customers. Excellent work.. !! 👍🙏🙂
I watching during corona lock down and I feel missing those days of good times..
It's ok bro you may get them after 21 days but I'm outside of India and don't know when I can have them
@@spunkyguy5415 hope for the best bro that's what we can do
Two things I love about your videos is 1.the food and 2. The way you explain each detail makes my mouth water and that is what makes the video more special...

Thing which I love about him is that he covers authentic good quality food instead of fancy looking restraunt with hefty prices
I am so jealous, tried many restaurants in and around Vijayangar when I was in Bangalore. Its time to visit all these restaurants once I visit INDIA. Thank you
Such a great find! Thanks to Carlos Volpe for the intro... great culture and cuisine!

Your commentary is equivalent to a Literature class! And being honest carnivore this video is gold for me!
May you meet a "cow protector" who kills Christians for eating meat!!!
@@pascalpoussin1209 yeah there are also "pork protector" who kill's the men and converts the whole family into their religion.

Nice vlog. RMH is one of my favorites. Interestingly Kripal calls Jayanagar a suburb of Bengalooru. Jayanagar is the Heart of Bengalooru along with Malleshwaram, Basavanagudi etc... Not a suburb :)
I am hungry & need to be at Ranganna Military Hotel real quick ;)
You brought back old memories. Missing this food
Hats off to guy he accepts the fact not really really organic..
Powerful food prepare come from to powerful state love u Karnataka India very nice ur Kannada speak
I am from Mumbai- it’s my wish to come in this restaurant and have this cuisine yum 😋
First time I heard that you share that all items with your team. I was always jealous of you eating of all the items and and you are the best best person to review any kind of a good item on the universe 😍😍
Been to this military hotel and had the pleasure of M/s Ranganna and Senthil's personal attention. Wonderful place to please yourself with the food on offer. Highly recommended. :-)
Your command over your language is just awesome... Always the way you express abt food is just wow.. Mouth watering as always when I just look at these restaurants... Cheers
Another detailed and awesome video. I saw you the other day morning near Forum, Kormangala negotiating a Uturn, could not say Hi as the traffic was too much.

I was eagerly looking forward to visiting Ranganna, after this video and did get to go there during my trip to Bangalore last month. Went with my wife, my son and his first cousin who's as much of a foodie as me. Tried the Mutton Pulao (yum!), Raagi Mudde Saaru (loved the Saaru but couldn't finish the Mudde!), Mutton Kheema Gujju (loved the 'bite' it offered unlike normal kheema), Mutton Chops (their recommendation and very well appreciated by all of us!) and of course, the Goat Leg Soup (delicious to the last sip!). Couldn't try more stuff as we all ran out of space in our tummies. I must add that even though they were very hospitable and helpful in suggesting what to try, etc., the moment we mentioned your name their faces lit up and the 'khatirdaari' increased! Thank you Kripal, for discovering these treasure troves for us! Keep discovering more, keep sharing more!
I love this hotel because of such a nice taste
Old Ranganna Military Hotel was excellent and this new Ranganna Military Hotel not even meets it's taste. Far away to come!!! Old is Gold!!!
