I'm basically a Malayalee, but settled in the US. I haven't watched many Kannada films, but I have seen interviews of their stars. Three great personalities who have impressed me with their warmth, authenticity, and genuineness are Vishnuvardhan, Ambareesh, and, of course, Appu I keep watching this episode, and it always makes me emotional. Now i realize why the whole of Karnataka and Bengaluru especially was in despair. The passing away of Appu is a huge...huge irreplaceable loss. Not only because he was one of the superstars, but i believe the industry and Karnataka itself has lost one of its best ambassadors. The most genuine, warm, and humble superstar of the Indian film industry and truly a man of the people of the great state of Karnataka: Dr.Puneet Rajkumar.

Very true. I am from Hyderabad. I lived in Bengaluru for 10 years. I love Kannada people, their culture, food, hospitality and the beautiful places in Karnataka. Kannadigas are sober, diligent, soft natured people let there be some exceptions, it is quite common in any place. I am back here in Hyderabad and feel that I am missing a lot. Nowadays the protest in Karnataka made Kannadigas to become more aware of language at the same time making our youth not learnnother languages . Our Neighbors in Hyderabad stayed for 5 years in Bangalore and when I asked them how could they not pickup any Kannada, they said there was no chance to learn Kannada as they were all Telugu in the area and buliding. And it depends on person to person too. I stayed in Hyderabad for one year and some of my relatives are also Telugu. Now I can understand what they laugh about in front of me. Languages are beautiful though. But I'm afraid you'll pickup whole of Bangalore Kannada which is considered very rude accent in other parts of Karnataka. You said you can talk almost 70%.
I'm in Australia for the past 27 years didn't know anything of Rajkumar's family. Definitely heard about Rajkumar through my grandma and my mum, watched his movies and enjoyed them. What a pleasure it was to watch his son, so down to earth, no airs or graces. His father would be damn proud of him. God bless you always and watch over you. @@sudhakar7889 haha I'm from AP. Yes some of them know Telugu and some not. Its been 4 years for me in Bengaluru. I learnt 70% of Kannada in last 1 year with the help of my colleagues and watching movies. Before that I didn't get a chance to learn. Spashtavaagi maathadake innondu year aagothe ree.
@@lokeshp6392 That's highly commendable, though it's not compulsary. Nowadays the protest in Karnataka made Kannadigas to become more aware of language at the same time making our youth not learnnother languages .
Our Neighbors in Hyderabad stayed for 5 years in Bangalore and when I asked them how could they not pickup any Kannada, they said there was no chance to learn Kannada as they were all Telugu in the area and buliding. And it depends on person to person too. I stayed in Hyderabad for one year and some of my relatives are also Telugu. Now I can understand what they laugh about in front of me. Languages are beautiful though.
But I'm afraid you'll pickup whole of Bangalore Kannada which is considered very rude accent in other parts of Karnataka. You said you can talk almost 70%.

I'm in Australia for the past 27 years didn't know anything of Rajkumar's family. Definitely heard about Rajkumar through my grandma and my mum, watched his movies and enjoyed them. What a pleasure it was to watch his son, so down to earth, no airs or graces. His father would be damn proud of him. God bless you always and watch over you. Least forgetting Kripal's hardwork, authenticity, magic words, showcasing the unknown food places will get him far greater places and recognition.
