quickest car I have ever had privilege of driving is it's brother, a 1972 RT 440 Charger, double pumper, blue printed, balanced and street/strip custom auto
Chrysler cancelled the 6-bbl option at the end of the 71 model year...only a handful of Mopar 6-bbl cars made it off the production line at the start of the 72 model year (so I doubt it)
*Most awesome smokey burnout ive ever seen in all my years of racing and engine building and i still don't know...What kept the rear tires from exploding?*
I don’t think it’s gears I think it’s your carbs need to be setup cause six packs if not set up right bog a little off the start I think if the carbs were set right it would do better burn out but it would hook good just a thought I don’t know a lot about 6 packs
This a vey nice unit you have there........I've always liked driving the 440's. 'never had a 440 6-Pack though. Over time, I've heard a few different things about 6-Packs. I've heard that the carburator jetting has to be very precise. What is the" no hesitation" accelaration like ? That is my main concern. A friend of mine had that paticular build in a '69 Charger on a speed run of 147 MPH. It was still climbing when he had to let off on the gas.....so very impressive !
@@curlsareboring nice ride, and I got no complaints. Looks great, thanks for sharing. I have a guy who owns a nice 71 Roadrunner in grabber blue, same decals as your's but they're black. 440 in it. He wants to sell in the next year or two and I want to buy it in the next year or two. Your's looks great and I love the chrome bunoer and grill. Mine has that too. One of my top few favorite cars ever.
We have had a lot of fun with it but I have driven only a few times over the last two years. It is time to find it a new home. My son and I are doing a major wax and buffing to the outside and then putting it up for sale. Just don't tell my wife she will want to spend the money! Ha! Ha!
Look close that right fender doesn't match...I know I wrecked it there when it was mine...lol He just put stainless steel for an exhaust( no mufflers) I blew holes through the seams on the ones that were on there.
@@mitchcronin8689 It does have a ‘71 Roadrunner / 72’ Satellite grille….the ‘72 Roadrunner had a totally different grille. So, I think it’s a ‘72 Satellite being passed off as a ‘72 Roadrunner…..Some poor foreigner got taken for a ride!!!!!!

Remember people! This is a infamous winner of the Summernats Burnout Masters Finals 2021! Good job man :)
btw. outstanding car, love this shape.
I always wanted one of those. My neighbor bought a white one brand new. The most beautiful car in the world to me back then.
What the heck was that? Is the engine cold? Im taking that car from you.
Always love the sound of a roadrunner my dad has 4
That is exactly what a nice new looking concrete driveway needs!
Had one in the 80's sounded like a fed ex truck, loved it bought for 1,700$ . I thought it was more but I verified that price.
$4,500 in the 80s did it have a Hemi for something ?
Wow. Tire shredding. Lol. Nice car,. The unloved year of road runners. Still awesome. Left brake light out. Cam sounds great

well that was the hardest it had run in about 5 years. and yes it had just started. and the tiers are meant to grip not slip. 4 drum brakes.

i agree this is what muscle cars are made of not none of your euro crap real cars made by real men !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Title should say 440 six bbl not six pack
So, what's the difference between a 1972 Plymouth Road runner and a 1972 Plymouth Road Runner GTX? What makes it a GTX other than body tags?
Paul Harrell late response but the RR GTX was a trim package and it came with a 440 standard. RM23U2 cars
@@nicKz The GTX was considered, a high performance Road Runner, they only came equipped with the 440 engine.I had a 1972 GTX. Only 255 were built.
@@ricktaylor3748 I already said thar
@@nicKz You already said ""thar.""?
My answer was pretty much more clearly said, and it wasn't really a trim package.
It was more an option.

Weak? You must be referring to Chevy's NASCAR performance during the 60's & 70's compared to Mopar & Ford.
Sounds like Christine.
It's a six barrel it's a Plymouth six pack is Dodge nice car though
You call that a skid mark? The car wasn't even trying. Where's the smoke??
Chrysler was so redundant. every brand had 2 or 3 of the same car with slight differences...
No they weren’t redundant. They had different trim levels and different brand designs that shared a frame
Someone needs to learn how to use their camera phone
Wait till pops gets home!!!
Yes! He'll see the burnout marks... feel the hood to see if it's warm... and then the belt comes off! lol
Ill buy that plymouth road runner off yah 5000
...?are we sure that's not a '71?
Sorry... just saw the tail lights... Ok, '72. They're so close!
