I took an MST course and to pass we did the skills evaluation test, I failed the weave and dropped the bike because I wasn't looking forward -- this video is helping me get my confidence back and I'm going back this week to try again. Thank You, I appreciate this video.
ME TOO! Right there with ya, pal. Dropped the bike on the skills test, having dropped the bike twice earlier in the slow-speed instruction part. going back for a private lesson or 2 then gonna try again. Dan's videos are priceless.
I didn't drop my bike but I missed some cones and I went the wrong direction and I wasn't looking forward
Thanks Dan.
Thank u so much. Just started a course as absolute beginner. Your videos is pure gold.
The superman POV is really good/helpful
just got a bike here in Rwanda, a 150, these video help build the confidence to practice
👏
Tonight on DWTB, the Dan and Honda master the straight line weave.
That seems like it would be really easy on a small bike like that
110 you must live in Phx Az, I live in Yuma ..... How far are the cones set apart @ the DMV ?
Why no counter-steering?
What cones are good to use at a good price for drills?
Hi Dan, love your videos. I did mess up on the straight line weave during my test :/ although I did it like 20 times in a row the evening before without a single mistake... we were recommended to just start in first, and just run the track with the clutch out and no throttle. do you think it is worth going slower and using the clutch or the main idea is to dance with the bike at a constant speed running idle in the first gear?
Idling in constant speed works for me
❤️🙏
I’m thinking of purchasing a Honda CTX700 which as you probably know is an automatic. Can I still do these maneuvers with no manual clutch? I haven’t ridden in about 22 years.
Good question. I just failed badly at this today with a little 150cc scooter.
How much is the distance between two cones?. Reply will be apreciated
he says it in the video, 8 or 8.5 feet apart
I had to do this to get my Ls, but they wanted us to do it at about 20kms in second (or third) gear, with cat eyes instead of cones, spaced about 1.5 metres apart.
Needless to say, I hit nearly every one. And when i finally got the hang of it, hit nearly every one with my back wheel. Thankfully they didnt mark it on the test
1.5 metres?! Seriously... I thought 3 metres or 4 metres was acceptable..
I'm a 17 year old rider who just got his first bike November and started riding three months ago, (2019 HD XL1200x) any specific tips?
Ride like a invisible ghost
@@RAHUL-dt5xm u mean ride like youre invisible to everyone except the police!
Be patient with yourself, for 1 year ride safe at or below the speed limit.
@@D3nn1s 😂😂
@@johndemetrii809 that's some dumb advice right there! When you ride slower than the speed limit you become even more of a danger than being a novice. Please no one listen to this guy ride safe be smart and stick to the speed limit.
How far apart do you place your cones for the weave?
he says it in the video, 8 or 8.5 feet apart
Yooooo I failed tf outta this/my endorsement test today 🤣
it's so tough dude i swear to god everything else was so easy but this weave test is the bane of my existence
