Rotary Table Rebuild Part 2 - Workshop Chronicles EP 005

In this episode of the rotary table rebuild we begin the task of cleaning up all the parts we dismantled in the previous episode. Then using the Harrison Lathe and the Bridgeport milling machine we make a repair to the damage on tee slot table part of the table.

Nice job 😀 I’ve used a Stanley knife blade as a scraper to remove rust works nicely on machined surfaces.

@@MattChiversWorkshop Hi Matt no just dry you hold it at a fairly acute angle and it just chisels off any rust it comes to. 😀

I would suggest getting a spring loaded tap guide thingy that goes in the chuck. Especially for those smaller taps.

Hey Matt, another great video. You might pass on to "Dumbass", after seeing the closeup of his hand it appears his skin looks a little dry. I would suggest maybe he switch from WD40 to hydraulic fluid or maybe even Way oil if that doesn't work. Cheers from the West Coast of the US.
