This tutorial series was amazing. So many obvious little things that I never thought to do-- over 200 hours in the game already, but now I think I'm ready to REALLY begin. Thank you so much!
I'm going to be working on a final episode that incorporates a bit of editing and things I've not had chance to cover in the normal style of playing. I haven't forgotten you I promise!
@@gameswithbrains Please don't forget! This is like a cliffhanger in a TV show. We need the next episode. Such a great series, thanks so much for taking the time to provide such an informative, interesting, and entertaining tutorial.
58:49 all you have to do after assigning the general to the field marshal is to right click the frontline the field marshal is assigned to with the individual general selected, the new general will then obey the field marshal frontline
So in HOI4 the Olympics Games in Finland really did take place with USA and Germany winning the most medals I wonder if they stopped the war for those two weeks.
I might have missed this in these videos, in that case sorry about this. It just occured to me when you were talking about positioning someone in the general area. Well, if you haven´t covered it, perhaps someone will find this useful. When doing long distance land transfers, there is an option to tell the troops to use trains instead of marching which, as one can imagine, is much faster. Sometimes they seem to do it automatically but not always and I´m still not sure why. I have a suspicion they don´t if they´re assigned to a general and there is a danger they might be involved in a battle but haven´t really tested it. Anyway, if the front line is still reasonably far away from the intended route, use the railway button on the selected units and at the cost of their organisation drop they´ll be at the destination in no time. The actual speed might be tied to the infra level but even on level 1 it was 24 kms in my game instead of 4.
I love the tutorial! Thank you very much! And something I noticed: when using Shift + Click on the training (for planes for example) it will end the training once the planes are trained. Is there a reason not to use this?
