EndZiiel They're purists that have fallen in love with the idea that anything different from the first four albums is unacceptable, any other dimension is not worth exploring, and that Cliff Burton is the second coming of Jesus.
Yeah I love every song on this album!. Its not really thrash like their older albums but the riffs are fucking awesome. Every song is good. Actually, Enter the Sandman and Nothing else matters are probably my least favourites off the album and they are the most popular for sure. I love Don't tread on me and this song.
EndZiiel I personally think the Black Album is the worst album Metallica has put out, but not because it's not thrash. I love Load, Reload, St. Anger, Death Magnetic, and Hardwired... To Self-Destruct, despite some sounding different. Yet, the Black Album is nothing special to me, I'll pick Load, Reload, or St, Anger over it anyday. That's not to say it's a bad album, or that I hate it, it just doesn't compare to any other Metallica album, in my opinion of course.

I know Kirk specifically had a much easier position for tba, (save The Unforgiven heh) since, in his words, each song really cries out for a specific solo. Paint it 'tallica. They are infamous for funneling inspiration well though! I hear acdc everytime I bust a LOAD nut haha

After watching multiple live performances on UA-cam, I'm convinced that Jason is the best backing vocalist.
Saw them live with him about 20 times, he is always on, incredible, neither cliff nor Rob /have the same drive

Jarno Koivula In the 90's, well actually in the end of 80's Lars slowed down, and he was quite powerful and solid drummer. Good timing yes. Heavy as fuck.
Normally Id 100% agree, but this 2017 tour they are doing right now is on point. I'm blown away at how great and clean and powerful they sound Id advise to check it out

I was at this concert. Was 11 fucking years old! Shitty thing was i couldnt see most of the concert b/c i was so short. my sis's boyfriend had to lift me up ocassionally for me to see the band. One of my most cherrished childhood memories. Metallica for life!

@fartmagnet hahaha! It was a total transitional era for them. Jason had cut his hair, Kirk was in his dreadlocks and shorts phase, James had a weird mullet, and Lars had a full beard. Also Lars had scaled down his kit to just 2 rack toms in front instead of 4 ;-0
What a magical tour this was!!! And too think i got to see the first date of this tour right here in the best city in the world Buffalo N.y aka( Darien lake ) and the fist concert held at the new Darien lake. Performing arts center now its a horrible venue for concerts
