I’ve gotten much better from these lessons and I’m probably going to hit you up for lessons soon mang thank you for your time and effort.
I came back after months and understand more now watching this lesson ,you explaining floating notes escape notes as well the meaning of sequence.. still so much to watch and learn ty much for being here hope all is well Marcel
Marcel I noticed the little vibrato on the tonic at the end.. very relaxed smooth picking !
Great stuff thanks for sharing your licks and way more better than most here on UA-cam playing the same licks over and over again. Thanknyou
BEST ON THE WEB...for us needing more..thx Chuck
awesome! thanks for posting!
These are great! Thanks.
Going to enjoy this return after awhile it does get smoother , really like that right hand position nice picking!
In a time where i am mourning so much for Eddie, I really appreciate being able to learn some bluegrass. Thanks Marcel
Thanks for sharing!
How did people learn anything up in those mountains without being able to rewind a video lesson 100 times.
love it - plus your hair looks terrific! Really, it does.
ty great licks!
You are really player. I don't know if u r pro or not but are really doing good job
Nasty licks!
Good stuff
Great work. Thanks so much for posting these helpful videos. In lick 7 the 3,4,5 3,4,5 bit is reminiscent of a Django lick I use in Beaumont Rag 8,9,10 8,9,10.....etc, across the strings. I got it from Jack Lawrence.
Fine fella to steal that from 😊
Thanks sir
You definitely have OCD, but that's what makes you a advanced musician so its all good. Thanks for the great lessons 😊
An* ;)
Really enjoying all of your videos. What guitar are you playing in this video?
Good stuff dude. I'm a new subscriber, and you may have already addressed this in another video that I just haven't seen yet, but it would be great if you could make a video of some ways to play licks for the chord changes over the classic 1-4-5 bluegrass progression. So like, if in the key of G, you could show some licks focus on G for the first part of the lick and then as the chord progression goes to the C, the lick transforms into a lick for the C chord, etc. I'm an electric blues player mostly and have just gotten into bluegrass flatpicking (I find the challenge of playing really fast parts on the acoustic to be so much fun, but also a lot more difficult to play cleanly than on electric), so I find myself always kind of playing one standalone lick for the G chord, then one standalone lick for C, but I would like to get to a point where my licks can flow in and out of each chord change instead of sorta being choppy like they are now. I haven't seen a really good video on how to tackle the 1-4-5 bluegrass progression in that way, and maybe you can help me out there. Anyway, I'm glad I found your channel, you have some great content. Keep it up!
Hey there, good question. You might try my video "Bluegrass Improv Exercises" it's kind of an anti-lick approach to improvising bluegrass lines!
@@LessonsWithMarcel Awesome, thanks I will check it out
More fab vocabulary, thank you Marcel! Only recently delving into Bluegrass & discovered your excellent channel. Your playing is sweet as & your teaching makes everything super easy to understand, - except why you wear a hat in some of your other videos when you have such annoyingly magnificent hair.
It will take some time to play these fast I first learn the notes and then keep chipping away at the speed I’m new to this so hopefully I can bring it up to speed
Nice tuxedo cat
Damn, this is really fast. maybe I should start out with some intermediate licks or something ha
Ask this guy if someone teach him when he was learning flat out. Come on bro
Marcel, if you want more subscriptions, buy cat toys and film that too. Creamheros cat channel has 3 M+ subs and gains 10k subs/day! LOL
Now that's a nice head of hair. Hope you lost that stupid cap for ever.
And I am a banjo player. I just like to watch a good guitar player. Thumbs up.
To fast
Total useless some one learning will never pick that up. So why even put it on UA-cam
