Subscribed, I can see you are full of cold so well done for pushing through as it’s 10 times harder when your feeling rough, loving the build series, lovely van, keep up the good work👍
Looking good by watching the amount work your doing you appreciate why bodyshops charge so much for restoration work especially when its done properly. 👍
I ditched the 2 heavy lead acid leisure batteries - I went for a Fogstar (based in Redditch) LiFePo4 - modern lithium with a built in smart controller (heats itself with the initial input current before it charges but will discharge even when cold. More money but far more reliable and the 100Ah is tiny and light compared to what you took out. I’ve gone from 2 lead acid to one new battery at 280Ah. They’ll also help with advice on settings if you have existing charging setups - battery to battery, solar etc.
Really enjoying this series and always great to see another saved and you're doing a great job too. One thing i would say is and you're probably on the case is the front lower back arch sill looks like it needs a bit of a trim on the back because it looks like it dips down and the back of the arch bottom don't have that little lip on it. I'm probably being fussy ha but keep up the good work 🤙
Thank you yes I saw the lip and once I started the grinding process and sort the trimming there's a few little bits that need some attention that shall be today's job
brilliant looking great mate really enjoying the process keep up the good work. Will you stay with the same colour or are you going for a full respray?
Cracking work as always 👌 looking forward to next episode

Thank you we are keeping it original colour as it's quite nice in person we did want a pastel green or pink originally
where did you get the panels from and what was the fit like
@schudas2568 ally panels are from air cooled vw and fit quite well to be fair minor adjustment needed
Ant where did you get the welding mask and how much was it
It's a snapon one item number is weldgoglekt I think I paid around 200 for it but well worth it for those tight spaces
@antandjen thanks ant
