14:40 Serral gets the ling in and scouts with it while Elazer's scouting ling gets caught and killed immediately. These little things are what separates serral from everyone else, seems like he's figured out exactly how to get that ling in every single game. Blows my mind how consistent he is at it.
One of the most important aspects that seperates Serral from nearly everyone else is his attention to cost efficiency. He simply does not waste units in vain. Not even zerglings. Everyone else seems to fail to take diminishing margins into factor. For example let's say there is a run by that consists of 10 zerglings and suppose they killed 5 workers before the opponent could react. Most of the players throw the remaining zerglings away for 1 or 2 more worker kills. But when you think about it trading 8-9-10 zerglings for 1 or 2 workers is not cost-efficient, even though trading 10 lings with 7 workers in overall is. On the other hand, trading 1 or 2 zerglings for 5 workers and escaping with the rest when the opponent reacts is amazing cost efficiency. These little gains add up and snow ball into a giant advantage. What I'm getting at, I believe that's why he did not kill those two bases in game 4. Not because of miscalculation, on the contrary because of excellent calculation of diminishing margins. He knew he can come back soon and take those almost dead bases out so there were no need to throw away units in a macro game like that. Big respect to him. He and Maru are on a different level than the rest.
He also uses Vipers solely to pull in gas heavy units and retreats even when he could clean it up because he might lose his Vipers in the process and while that may be a victory in one battle overall, it does not grant him the game. He slowly drains his opponents resources where ever he can, what a demon

31:10 :/ the commentators keep saying serral is getting the better trades but all I see is that elazer is sniping all serral's vipers and losing maybe a couple hydras in return.
I know tastosis like to hype things up a bit. But there really was no mystery as to why serral won: he spent his money and was therefore maxed, thus with a bigger army. Elazer at multiple points hung out at 180 or 170. Damn, even lings are better than nothing.
thats actually wrong bro, nothing can be better than lings in MANY situations. Think about this a bit and I think you will understand that just getting LINGS dose NOTHING vs mass lurker XD.
