*MAJOR* Mass Casualty Shooting Response / San Pedro

- Опубліковано 10 лют 2025
- At approximately 3:50pm, Los Angeles Police Department Officers from the Harbor Division responded to multiple reports of a shooting in progress at Peck Park in the 500 block of South Western Avenue. Upon arrival, officers found multiple victims down in the parking and in vehicles with CPR in progress. LAFD resources were told to hold out due to the dangerous circumstances. When clear to enter the scene, Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics transported two adult male victims to a nearby hospital, where they were pronounced deceased. They also transported one additional adult male, and four female adults to local hospitals. An additional victim was self transported via private auto to a nearby hospital and was later identified as the eighth victim of the shooting; that victim was in stable condition. Multiple firearms were discovered at the location and were recovered by LAPD as crime scene evidence. Resources from surrounding agencies such as LASD , LAFD, LA Port PD, & Park Rangers also responded to assist LAPD.

Circumstances aside, you have GOT to love seeing this many Vic’s still on the streets
I don't, they are long overdue to be retired.
Means there's still more Vics that will enter the used car market. Nobody can kill the Vics!
Some aren’t and some officers just don’t want to let them go. They’re great work cars. Spacious, comfortable and reliable.
@@iamReddington Hey if it ain’t broken don’t fix it!
@@iamReddington and why's that? I've owned 2 of them and still have them and my truck. My first vic I bought as a teen and paid $800 with 150k miles. I still have it and only had basic maintenance issues. Same with my other one. Bought it for $1500 2yrs later with 180k miles and it was a fully loaded one. Same mechanical upkeep. Both have over 200k miles now at 8yrs later. There's a reason police departments still have them. They're fast, fuel efficient and any idiot with no mechanical skills can learn to fix them 🙄
There's something beautiful about a brand new 2020 explorer being followed by a parade of crown vics
Wow, that's an insane response. Tons of great catches especially of those slicktop convoys. Sad to hear of the fatalities.
Amazing to see so many Crown Vics still in service. And damn, that's alot of slicktop vics.
These Emergency service personnel are very special people we do not appreciate them until we really need them.
Yep
Yeah until they do absolutley nothing in these situations and sit around with their thumbs up their butts lmao
@@sillygoose941 alright pal go ahead and go straight into an unknow shooting situation and let us know how it goes okay and im not joking im dead serious cause if you can handle it without issues and no one else getting hurt then i will gladly back you up and help you get put into a position to fix these issues we have

Can tell it is a very serious incident Police and other Emergency Personnel have the foot down, when an incident occurs they get there very quickly and take charge (so thankful to these guys). I was first on the scene of an attempted murder at a Shopping Centre horrific scene two men down, Police and Ambo’s arrived in five minutes.
The efficiency and professionalism of the LAPD and the paramedics, including the news team, are highly admirable.
The efficiency and professionalism of the LAPD
😆
Why is the news team included?
Hahahahaha that is the funniest thing I've heard. The real story is that the san pedro police department is extremely hard to get a hold of. They don't do crap. That's why this happened.
We could do with some of that professionalism here in the UK.
You can a hold of San Pedro Police Department because they don't exist. You might try calling LAPD Harris Division and maybe you might get some to pickup the phone or incase of an emergency we have new three digit number for emergencies its 911 😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣
Dude amazing catches!!! Prayers too all victims and family’s involved
Damn prayers too everybody and got damn look at the crown Vics
used to have one myself, just a god damn tank, took it out for a spin one night got on some back paved curved roads that were posted at 45 mph, i took them at 90 mph, damn thing wouldn't even as much as budge it just stuck like glue, absolutely amazing well built cars

Really cool to see those crown vic units with minimal lighting responding at 2:27
At least they got the 2020 ford explorer with a lot of lights backing them up.
Watching from New Zealand, you have amazing emergency vehicles over there, just stunning
2:28 interesting - has the older Unitrol siren I think and the rear halogen lights, but the front uses the newer LED lights.
Halogens must’ve worn out and they replaced em. Plenty in the fleet with newer LED’s
I was in Santa Ana when this broke all over the news, sad 2 died as a result of this. This is some awesome footage of PD you got here!

Yeah, usually, slicktop units are gang units. However, LAPD also utilizes slicktops as traffic units, riot units, and of course gamg unit.
suicidal jogger @ 5:20. Still very nice footage though, especially with all the various agencies responding.
Epic video! A lot of Crown Vics and also the new Explorers. Same as slick tops, unmarked, and marked units. Did they ever find the suspect or suspects?
I live in this town, they never did catch them to my knowledge. They were armored. And it hasn’t happened since
Wish everyone in the world were as united as cops are
Amazing video! I love the 2020 and the LASD with the air horn!
Amazing video! Love the sirens and look of LAPD And FD, hello from Australia
I wish police were this fancy in gta 5
Sad Event.
Good Video.
With that huge of a response, and the famous California traffic, I would think SOMEBODY should've planned ahead, and taken control of traffic!
Obviously, nobody knows ahead of time where and when MCI's and other large-scale incidents will occur, but all Emergency Response Agencies pre-plan- as much as they can, and adapt as needed to each incident. They should have area traffic control as a factor in the general pre plan SOPs.
It's for the benefit of on-scene personnel, access for responding units, egress for transport to the hospital, general public and un-involved motorists' safety.
2:26 I like how they got the big brother 2020 ford explorer leading the pack of crown Vic’s that’s badass ngl
What a sick world we live in. Disturbing how many of these shootings occur.

Yup! Believe it or not, no. They just keep them in good shape to drive them.
Anyone else find it convenient that a mass shooting gets this kind of response whereas if you were to be stabbed in the middle of the street in broad daylight, it would take them over an hour to respond?
It most likely depends

Any further videos from this featuring agencies other than LA City FD and PD?
That’s all I got, a lot of others came from the south. I was at the north side of the incident.
4:27 was that a security vehicle responding? It looks to me like that because of the lights. Correct me if im wrong.
This is fire department command unit responding, If you mean that car behind it, this is a LA Port Police
Wow, and I thought I saw a lot of police in 2020 when there was an active shooter scare at a mall here. Thankfully that one was only a scare and not real. Great video though!
Rest in peace, victims.
Damn, 10 Crown Vics on that scene. I still hold out some hope for LA.
Indeed the best of the best for those emergency vehicle enthusiasts. Slicktops, unmarked units galore!

How do they even go about coordinating these types of responses. Does each officer know where to set up a perimeter? Also, when the report is written does every responding officer need to file a report for the call? Is one incident number generated and then they all write a report referencing that one number?
sad to say but these guys probably have so much experience to responding to these calls that they probably have it down to a science
La is big and filled with gangs, there's a squad car within 2 miles radius of each other
so no one gonna talk about 2:21
I clicked on the time stamp and got Rick rolled I thought it was the video but it was an add
Lol they are looking backwards
- how many backup do you need?
- YES!
lol every single cop in his own vehicle
They were treating as an active shooter. During the time LAPD was being dispatched and responding, the shooters were still gunning people down throughout the park. When they put out a backup call, they send usually 5-6 units code 3 or a little more. Due to the fact there were multiple shooters and multiple victims down, they requested more units for containment and tactical reasons. Crowd control apparently was a huge issue too. A lot of these units, well majority of them are outside Division/Station units.
Two people were killed and five others injured during a shooting at a car show in Peck Park in the San Pedro neighborhood.
The highlight of this video were the CROWN VICTORIAS! Amazing to still see them in use after all this time.
I love how they "play" with their sirens (for example when crossing a road, or arriving at the scene), the various tones it can produce etc.
Here in the Netherlands we are not capable of doing this with sirens, but I can remember one funny video in which a cop did scream "Tatuuu Tatuu Tatuu" by megaphone (imitating the siren).
EMS is trained to switch the siren tones as we approach intersections or heavy traffic, I can only imagine it's the same for police. More often than not, the tones will switch and the airhorn will blast a few times when clearing an intersection.
i have seen the same exact video you are on about and it was really funny
Really nice video. Excellent quality camera you have there. Is that a professional ENG camera or a phone?
Thank you! Sony AX53 4K Camcorder

Is it still going on?
3:55: What's the CVPI for? PD or Fire?
Fire
LAFD. It’s a TEMS Specialist from the Tactical Emergency Medical Support Unit, Emergency Medical Services Bureau, Emergency Operations.
Still a lot of Ford Crown Victoria's. Production of these cars stopped in 2011.
Jesus, whoever got 5 starts just got the miraculous 6.
i have a question :
How do you know when the police vehicle or fire truck will pass and how do you know what the intervention is?
Allmost all channels like this are using some kind of police or fire scanner to know what's going on

why did that lady run right in front of the rescue unit? smh 5:19
Why did some of the shops have the “in case of emergency call 911” taped off in black tape?
Particularly the first two..haven’t watched much past that (yet).
This whole thing is sad and could of been avoided. I've been a resident of San pedro for a decade. Every Sunday there were gang member gatherings at this park of excess of 100 people. The entire parking lot back and front was occupied by cars. Not one time did a cop car come by. The majority of people were African American blood gang members. Tattoos on face and red bandanas. I tried calling the san pedro police station several times but they don't answer there phone ever!!! So many people tried calling. People tried reporting the gang get together but Noone cared or even checked it out. I was the only white person at the whole park sitting in a parking spot. I got pulled up on by a gang member 4 guys in a car. They told me to move my car because they wanted my parking spot. Lucky for me a spot opened up next to me and they sped into it. I could of got shot that day. I left after right away. They said it was a car show after the shooting. LOL there were 2 classic cars from what I saw. Noone was looking at cars at all. People drinking openly alcohol from huge containers in the parking lot, smoking weed etc. Not one white person could go there you would get stared down , no families, no kids, it was literally a gang member party. It was sick. Cops only cared when someone got shot. Now in the comments I see all themis credit given to them and it makes me sick because I know I tried to do something about it and Noone listened!!! Shane on the san pedro police department. Blood Is on your hands.
You are a scardy cat prude. They were not gonna shoot you. They could have cared less about the most they would have done try and intimidate you and that's exactly what they did. They have the right too go to that park just as you do just because they are non white and gang members or so you say they were, just because someone is covered in ink and has tats on their faces and necks doesn't make them gangsters or bad people. Who cares if they were drinking anf smoking weed in the park people do it all the time obviously they weren't causing the problems you thought they were because trust the police would have you were probably blowing up the phone at the police station your probably a no life cop constant cop calling 52 cat lady. You probably have PTSD now and have to be kept medicated now and your on the edge of a total break down. I bet if it was 150 white guys pabst blue ribbon you
would have went and chilled with them. Oh and I'm white by the way you making it about race is quite disturbing and disgusting. Its OK if you go upto a person of color and have a conversation with them and at the end who knows you.may have a new friend a non white friend at that. You might even hug and exchange numbers. I strongly encourage you getting out more and socialize more and once you cone out of your shell you might be ok
Who driving the slicktops, Swat? Highway? They all came together at the same time for the most part.
It most likely depends, but in most cases, slicktops are used by LAPD Metro Division
…aka SWAT. They’re also used by command staff, detectives, and gang unit officers.
