The C310 and C320 are very simular in use and bascially the same, in basic terms the extra cost for the C320 is near full colour without IR or floodlight on, as the C310 will do bw with ir on for night. C320 has a better camera sensor, but comparing in daily use is they are the same but C320 gives some colour at night, both have very good detail in picture.

Hi We’re planning on putting one of these cameras above the front door…which is in a small open brick porch… I imagine it would be easy to steal if some undesirable felt inclined. The only other option for us would be the bungalow wall but the camera obviously wouldn’t film anyone in the porch…if you know what I mean.

It does have PoE as I set it up on mine.
People have also been reporting that putting a 3m ext lead on the DC power connector, so it now 6m, the C310 and C320, can suddendly and randomly switch off and on again. People found to up the voltage to 12Vdc and fixed this issue, as it seem the supplied standard 9VDC power supply can not handle the resistive cable voltage loss at 6m+
How do u solve the issue if it was this case
@@zeri_rin Cause the video said the cameras are not PoE capable, when they are.
PoE means power over Ethernet, ie no need to put power on the dc power lead.
Also people have found, that the dc power cable has voltage drops when extend six or more metres, and solved it by a 12vdc instead of 9vdc power supply.

Hi Thanks for the video. I have set the camera and worked fine. My house is located facing the street and this camera is set up to get the view of my front yard where my cars are parked. Just after my driveway line there is pedestrian pathway and then the road. It triggers loads of notification especially at night if some car passes by, and if shadow creeps into the the field of my camera from the pedestrian pathway. i have reduced all the levels to 2-3 setting. From midnoon till evening notifications are bit less. But from evening 5pm until 9am phone bombards with notification. Is there any chance to reduce this? or any polarized filter or film/surround guard that would help?

Would be nice to have a few phones around so that everyone in the household could view the cameras for obvious reasons.
it is. I have some tapo cameras and we shared accesses (email and pw) to 5 or even 7 people.
@@francescoguidi5262 thanks for your answer. In the meantime I got myself two of these and both are working fine ~ 4-5 months now. There was a hiccup in the software a while back (the white led was constantly on) but TP-Link issued a software update and no problems ever since.
1 min of 2k recording sizes between 3 megabayts to 6. So now you can size your sd card accordingly for loop. In my experience.

One snagg I have & I'm scratching my head....
Let's say you have the camera set to record only on a schedule between 8pm & 8am.
If you decide you want to go out during the day & activate the camera to detect motion outside of the scheduled hours - how do you do this?
If you want more granular recording options you would probably need to use a free 3rd party program like iSpy. I'm not sure how well these integrate as IP cameras though. One would hope they don't lock it down to just be used via their cloud service
You can also setup trigger events, ie the AI part in the app, Detection and alerts > Line crossing Area intrusion. As these will still trigger regardless of record schedules being on or off. These recordings will state person found, or area intrusion object found in the playback area, with the time and date, and colour coded.
Can we save all the recorded files on Google cloud.. as google cloud is cheaper than the subscription provided by the camera companies .. pl reply .

@all things tech : in the video it is mentioned that the user has to see the alert and then go into the app and start the recording of a video in order for it to be saved via the cloud service. Doesn't this camara record all the alerts (movements) automatically? Imagine you sleep at 3am in the morning and you get an alert that doesn't wake you up and nothing gets recorded.
I don't have C320WS but I have C225 and C500 (also from TP-Link Tapo). They automatically record all the detections and save it to the cloud and/or SD cards. You don't need to see the alerts for it to save.
It doesnt work with my ipphone, it says here needs local network blah blah. Can you help me please?

I’m finding the sensor turns the areas lit by street lighting, a shade of yellow. The C310 showed true colour of greenery, roads and cars etc, now it’s like looking through yellow glass.
The black and white infra red night video quality is a lot softer than the C310, more noticeable if you zoom in to see an area of interest.
Good camera for daytime, but let down by the quality of night video compared to the C310. Tapo need to sort out the colour temperature sensitivity of the sensor for night video, and get the infra red black and white video sharper.
@June@97 hi, found out the camera was faulty and got it replaced- ok now.
But I still think the night vision sharpness was a little sharper on the C310, but the daytime video on the C320 is sharper than the C310.

Tapo C320w is better than c310. Is the best camera jn this moment at TAPO.
But TP Link Vigi C 340 w and C540w are better.
Vigi have in plus POE and H265+ .
If you instal Tapo application on the phone an give me your user (email) i can share you tapo camera c310 an c320ws and you can see and compare.
The only thing which puts me off is the cost of the cloud service. The price is too high, the storage is not end to end encrypted. USD 5 per months for 4 cameras would be acceptable.

It can be! I have absolutely no issues running it that way with a converter.
Is this option better then the TP-Link Tapo C310?
C310 doesn't have full color view at night. Other than that, they are the same.
Is this C320WS a 2k with a 4 mp processor just like the newly release TAPO Indoor camera, the C225 with pan/tilt capabilities? Are they same specs just for indoor and out?
C320 is basically the same as a C310 but able to record and view at night in colour without the floodlight being on. Both record in 1080HD. Not much view detail between them, but the C320 has the better detail edge, but at an extra £30 cost. The C310 is good for daily home outsids use, and use a C320 as a front rear door cam as it has the full colour without floodlight or the visable IR. C320 uses starlight which is a higher frequency IR that human eyes can't see.
The C325 is the real better high detail camera sensor, but it is quite expensive, meaning you may want to buy a C4xx series instead.
C225 is not the same camera sensor specs as the C3xx series. Only Tapo do a outside PTZ camera and that the pricy C5xx series.
C225 is a indoor only PTZ camera.

I have the IMOU Bullet 2S and I am literally on the brink of smashing them to pieces. They get triggered by thin air. Car lights shining on the wall, cars passing outside of the detection outlined area. Do you have such issues with the Tapo?

Yes you could, 9vdc, some people have been running Tapo cameras on long leads at 12vdc.
I been using different cctv brands on battries and found its not good, unless you use a car 12vdc style battery.
CCTV solar panels, will only give 3vdc and 100mA per hour. I measured these tiny cameras and they need 900mA in day and 1500mA for night.
This means a usbC (5v and 9v) battery will use 2000mA per hour, meaning a fully charges 10A USBc battery will last only three hours in my tests, these USB batteries have alot of losses, and you will need a large solar panel to feed it, I also found some USB batteries wont charge and supply at the sametime,
USB battries are L-ion 3.7v at 10A, not 5V at 10A hence the loss in dc to dc convertions to 5v or 9v out,

Why my playback is not working?
How do I get my relatives abroad to have access on the cctv online? Been thinking of that especially with those cctv having two way audio. So they don't have to call home via social media. They can just talk thru the cctv. TIA

I just used a normal black permanent marker pen I live on a farm so no street lights.
But the finish was matt anyway so no light reflection
I would not recommend that. When it gets hot outside it won't reflect the sun, so it will get hot and fail sooner.
Can you live stream on UA-cam with it?
Does this have the SD in the camera? If so isn't this a huge flaw? The Eufy cameras have a base they record to.

There is no way to download videos on the computer, just to force the user to hire the cloud service, I regretted the purchase, the image is very panoramic, it makes it difficult to recognize people who pass in front of my house, it is not possible to read license plates.

For T-Link Tapo, presently all options works without subsciptions, unlike other brands wanting payments for AI detections or sharing feeds etc.
C310 is upto 128GB
C320 is upto 256GB
C325 is upto 256GB
Remember it can record all the time, or only the records events.
Why record when the picture is the same ?
If you want a full time recording then get a harddrive based camera base system as it will work out cheaper. Four cameras plus base harddrive box kit such a Yale or unbranded is about £200 to £400. Which will give you about 30 days per 1TB hard drive per all 4 cameras (ie 250GB per camera per month) . You can get 8, 16, 32 camera kits too.

Just purchased this . I just wanted to know if we could connect it to a NAS drive over WiFi ? Website says it has ONVIF and Nas support but I can’t find anything in the app to make use of this .
Yes, you can use it, but you need to choose between NAS or sd card storage, not both. Access Camera account on Advanced settings.

You never mentioned that you cannot REVIEW the CONTINUOUS recordings.
Just bought three of these cameras and sent them straight back as they are totally unusable. The cable is so short it isn't even long enough for internal walls let alone passing through breeze block and an external stone skin.
Just bought a 2 pack 20 foot extension for $12. How to you possibly think the would include a long cable. Think before you complain!

I presume you struggle to read, as well as write in coherent Englis,h since my complaint is that the cable isn't even long enough to pass from one side of the wall - through the outer stone, insullation cavity, and breeze block - to the inside of the building.
The ai is shit also those motion sensor even with small wind it starts recording and notifying....but at that price i don't care much....

Perfect? That's not been my experience with all 5 of mine. The app has had 1 bug after another for the last 8 months, cameras are average, mostly they work. For detection, that's another fail story. Tech support is a joke, I don't think they know what they are doing. I work hard for my money and I feel like I waisted it off of this review 8 months ago. I don't recommend tapo at all.

Have seen a couple of cats, my dogs, when I am out front. And had a bee buzzing around right in front of it. It works very well.
