You’re a legend. I always find my answers here when I have any struggle with the neuro-ophthalmology, and magically you always make it look so easy. Thank you Dr. Lee for your efforts
I thought mine was a tic. Until a random medication gave me seizures. If you blink rapidly, have your eyes roll back and head/neck jerk backwards tou should get an eeg. Jeavons syndrome gets misdiagnosed over 70% of the time.
I have had tics all my life, that I know of. I roll my eyes and used to do head movements, which gave me horrible knots in my neck... I take clonidine for my tics. My triggers are anxiety and stress and lately the eye rolls have done a number on me. I hate it so much and feel like the medicine isn't working anymore. Some years I would quit taking the clonidine as my tics would be almost nothing, but the past few years they have built up.
Your thoughtfulness and thoroughness contributed to speeding up my healing process. I wonder what could have become of me if you weren’t the one who handled my case. Thank you for curing my HSV2 dr popoola
Thank you for this explanation. My son has had some mild tics over the course of 6 years (we noticed when he was 4, and turns 10 this year). It started with involuntarily moving his shoulders up and down, and now has stopped that, but developed one that gave me and my wife a bit of panic where he rolls his eyes up instead of blinking. It looked very tiring and we kept asking if his eyes are fine or does he need rest etc.

At 49 years of age, I have developed facical tics that bring about weakness and pain in the eyes, top of the head, and the frontal lobe. 😊
I am 19, and for a majority of my life I've dealt with the eye rolls and have experienced what you wrote. I hate it so much.
