Kirsty and Briony are a national treasure, I can't not smile watching them be adoofable. Anything they are involved in is is made even gooder with their energy ^_^ This video reminded me of my younger days out at the park, and the wonder of just enjoying nature and history.
This is weird as I grew up in Hitchin! It’s funny seeing people find the graveyard creepy when lots of people will sit in it to have their lunch…. Often on the stones lmao
I really appreciate this, I used to go on holidays with my family within the UK (not sure we ever went to Herts though) and I liked looking around inside and outside churches because they can be so historic and pretty. This is just like that but without me having to suffer to do it
I had a little google and those holes in the church exterior wall could (and this is a big could) be from musket and cannon ball fire during the English Civil War. Apparently Cromwell's troops were garrisoned in the church itself and damaged some of the interior, but not sure about any actual fighting outside. They could also just be from erosion and maybe some building techniques that are exposed due to weathering buuuut...mebbe?
I thought for sure I recognized the place as the graveyard area used for Downton Abbey. Turns out that's in a different village (called Bampton) less than 100km away, also near London, also by a church called St. Mary's! You British and your identical towns...
New mini-series: Straight from the Herts? I grew up in a village not too far from Hitchin. We had a whipping post and a haunted road - bet there’s lots of folk lore around that too. Herts be a spooky place
Love the slightly creepy vibe of looking at graves, reading Latin or looking for witch script. This could be the start of a found horror film 😄 great vid both
We actually call lollipops suckers in Canada, maybe that originated from there or we just had the same thought for the word. Seeing as that's the action of eating of it, that's cool!
Think there should be a history Channel where Kirsty and Briany go around guessing the historical sights and not knowing what they are 😂
Call it Tourism or Yourism?

Also when Briony turns around about 12:30, I can't help but expect her to be wearing the worm mask :P
@@MzyraJ I need to make a more portable one :3
tbh when you panned to the initials being scratched into the wood, I was half expecting you to turn around and just see BT+K ♥

also who are these two refined and educational cuties what the heck
oooooh that's interesting!!
The holes in the stone are from centuries of people touching it saying what are these holes
A proud tradition!
In ancient times would have been Brion de Herts saying "What be those marks yonder"
Hertfordshire is lovely!!! and dang Churches in England are gorgeous! I think I might have to visit the UK for a Church and Historytour

I think I remember going there for filming!!
love a good beaver snack in the morning
I love watching these 2 vibe. Such a mood uplift.
Love the outdoor exploration and a look at the history of the Herts. And also how any word can be made to sound dirty with a giggle.

5:15 This is a prayer vacuum tube. You put prayers in a cylindrical vessel, place it inside and the vacuum sucks the tube up to heaven.
LEARNING
I was only listening for about a minute, and i heard "a pigeon.. oh yeh they're really knobbly". I quickly rewound, expecting to see a knobbly pigeon.
But it's scary outside! 😱
We'll go out exploring so you don't have to
Love you guys. Immaculate vibes. Comfort zone indeed.
YAY more irl :)
If you need an excuse to come back, the Hitchin Ghost Walk is a must. Super spoopy town - seems like it might be up your street!
Whatttt!! I'd love to go on a ghost walk sometime :D

Oh Hitchin is one of my favourite places to go! I remember there being two mice in the church but it's been years since I've gone inside
We'll have to go back sometime to find the other one!
Oh my god, they were tombmates
Oh, hello!! Welcome to my hometown!
Can't go wrong with a mid morning beaver :') you two are always good fun, Briony's hints are not the most helpful tho xD

Sooo Good!!!
3:56 "but my lord, there is no such force"
We all be Hitchin a ride with Comfort Zone

2:10 is genuinely terrifying, please say everyone else can hear the children chanting D:
