Hi, Fantastic conversion well thought out and executed. Just looked at your other video with it in action, "brilliant" any idea what the approximate weight was on the barrow? Cheers John.
No idea, my preston box and main bag, are both very heavy. I have been using it for over a year now, it needs help up hills but definitely spoilt me I wouldn't want to push one now🤣🤣😂👍. If I had a bigger van so didn't have to dismantle it, it would be even better👍
Did it work? As you pointed out fishing tackle (especially match) is possibly 3 times plus the weight of a set of golf clubs. How long does the battery last and is the motor up to the job. Great video. I've been looking to do the same for a while now.
I have a converted 4 wheel shuttle which I had done 4 years ago. I have had to change the motherboard and the battery in that time. I use pneumatic wheels similar to the one you had on your barrow. I have just purchased the MAP X$ M2 barrow so will be selling my shuttle soon. Having some issues with the drive at present but goes ok without power. I agree with the guy who said you might have traction issues, also in certain cases you might have issues with the back wheels when trying to steer. (Coming off when turning). Also with the shuttle the hand holds are much higher which makes steering ( turning) much easier. Good and well thought out build though. Good luck.
Will be interested to know how you got on when fully loaded? The golf trolleys aren’t made for the weight we lot carry there loads more 25kilo I’ve made two from mobility scooters which will carry around 100kilo. You only need the back axel and motor wired from a 12v car battery through a push switch no control box or speed control and it will run at walking speed on just the one batter( mobility scooters run faster because they use 2) The farthest I walk to a peg is usually no more than 600mtr and I have had a mates equipment on besides my own and made the 600mtr back no probs. I charge it up with the car battery charger 2x 12v so run
You can see it working fully loaded at the start of this video, ua-cam.com/video/gs22lPSozvM/v-deo.html It will go faster than I walk on the flat does slow down up minor hills, needs a hand up steeper inclines, but I don't for venues that have big incline. Changed he back wheels as the small hard ones caused lots of vibration.👍
@@AverageAngler thanks for that info I was put off golf trolleys when I read the spec advice of the load they are expected to carry but will try one now for my next project 👍
Good skills pal, the biggest issue you will have will be grip from them tyres if the ground gets muddy, some of the old boys in our club have similar set ups and the wheels just spin up once it gets a bit wet underfoot.
I have thought about this, you can get treads that wrap around golf cart wheels, so I will be on the lookout for those, thanks for the heads up, I was thinking this might be an issue.

Thanks very much and please keep the videos coming.👍
Things could slow down for a few months, I have a heck of a lot going on😊👍

I have used it a handful of times with no issues so far. It slows a little up hills but seems to be coping g with the load😊👍

Thanks for that everything you said makes sense, I'm sure I will catch all these issues on film🤣😂👍
i like the set up but does it go t hrough the mud with all the weight on?
Only time will tell John
You should get a Shuttle, best thing I did!
Penrose! Man I had one of their boxes a few years ago
I won't be rushing out for a shuttle, I suspect my next big purchase might be a new box😊
Brilliant as usual John
Dont know how you come up with some of your ideas but i love watching em
Cheers Ste 😉

Very clever John impressive
