Apologies if I sound a little bunged up in places, as mentioned I've been suffering a bit with it recently but tried my best to record when I was through the worst of it. Let me know below who your favourite of the Piraka is! (Just the 6 main ones - Vezon's his own thing really and warrants a separate video 😆)
The Piraka were basically a slightly more family friendly version of the supes from The Boys. Incredibly powerful individuals who are posing as heroes, but utterly irredeemable, thuggish, sadistic monsters in reality. And Lego just said "Let's market them as common crooks"
the fact Vezon, the cronicaly insane madman that he is. not only has helped save the universe during reign of shadows. but is somehow related to mata nui by wearing the ignika, the gold skinned being by being a lost piece of him, and to the great being who was locked in bota magna. he has served the order of mata nui, and faced some of the greatest heroes and villains of the matoran universe. The fact this silverhead has somehow done greater things in 1 month of his existence than these 6 is hilarious
Aye it's pretty mad that someone created purely by accident and was initially (and even later) shunned by everyone became a hero. Very cool character arc.
I feel like if Greg would have finished bionicles story the Golden-Skined Piraka would have been remembered much more fondly as we would have actually gotten payoff for his wish granting shenanigans and Takuanuva would have likely epikally clapped them (some how).
That's great they were your first sets! They had bags of personality in the story and were introduced at a point when everything really started ramping up! Thanks for watching 🙂
I gotta admit I wish Zaktan would've survived and maybe tried to use his remaining protodite swarm to find a headless body and claim it as his own so he could again be in a body instead of being used to make the Golden Skinned Being

The Golden Being would most likely get anticlimatically killed off by Velika off-screen
