Halo - Year 9 Music and Music Tech

We are excited for you to hear our arrangement of Beyoncé’s ‘Halo’. This project brought together Year 9 music students with students from our new Year 9 music technology course to produce the full song as a collaborative venture. Whilst some tracks are recorded live with the microphones setup and music mixed by the students, other tracks have been sequenced straight into Logic Pro. The music students learnt what it was like to play with headphones and to a click track. We were very sad not to be able to visit Real World Studios as part of this project, as planned, due to Covid-19 and lockdown. We are delighted however, that we have been able to finish the song with the girls recording the solo line from home and Mr Wyatt working his magic with the final mix and video. We are so proud of everyone who has been involved in this project. Enjoy!
