I have seen people in 2 of my yoga classes who have fallen and hurt themselves on mats which have sleek bottoms from improper use …. Very dangerous… thanks so much for giving me your favorite mat when you made a video of me doing handstands!!! I bought one too!😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤
Really! Wow! I’ve seen that, too. 🤕 A great mat is worth the investment! It pays to have a Manduka! 🧘🏻♀️ and you are truly privileged to have practiced on Matty, even if just for a few minutes 😅
Agree. Pro. I don't practice like you. Who does? But I have one in the car and my home that stays home. Have had it since 2010. Doesn't absorb sweat. Doesn't stink (closed cell). Doesn't move, stretch. Thick enough for support. Friends that have it and complain about the weight 🤷🏻♂️ have to worry about other things... How can you do yoga if you feel your mat is too heavy 🤦🏻♂️? I wash it maybe 2x a year with dish soap and a brush. Just use the green Brillo pad with soap when you first get it to get the slippery off.
💯 you make so many great points! And in my blog post (yogathletica.com/go-manduka-or-go-home/), I say the same thing about the weight. If they can't carry a yoga mat, how do they carry their own body weight?
💯 I literally won’t practice on anything else! I have had mine for 23 years and still good as new…and not slippery, too! Gets better with age that way!
Hi, why is it you prefer the Manuka Pro than the ProLite? Seems to have the same specs only a little bit thinner (4.7mm against 6mm for the PRO, but also less heavy 2.1kg vs 3.5kg for PRO). Is it really less confortable? I am tempted by the lite
@@annamariabordasgeli607 the PROlite is actually significantly thinner and lacks most of the benefits I mention. It bunches, for example, and is much less padded. Remember that a Manduka PRO comes with a lifetime warranty, so spending the few extra dollars is worth it. I got mine for $120 in 2001 and am still using the same mat. 🤸🏻♀️❣️
@@YOGAthletica thanks so much for answering so quickly! It's not so much about budget but about weight in case I want to travel with it, 2.1 kg seems I could move with it, and for going to different yoga centers. Here in Europe we use very much walking and public transportation, so I don't have the option of having it in the car. But I trust your opinion, thanks so much!
@@annamariabordasgeli607 Ah! Yes! It is a heavy mat...but worth the lug! 😉 If you use this link, they have sales on just about everything they sell (including PRO mats!) tinyurl.com/44ezhstz Let me know which one you choose and how you like it!

I bought my Maduka PRO in November 2019 and I've used it daily ever since. I can't detect any wear and it's truly my best yoga friend.

Totally agree. I have 4. My husband is allowed to practice on one only at home😂
A woman after my own heart! ❤️😅❣️🤸🏻♀️🙏
... 🤣🤣And only flipping it over and using the under side wit the dots. Your practice side is a sacred surface!
@t2dev 💯
