Cute! I've always liked 1920's fashion because I'm short waisted and like to disguise that I don't have much waist definition but have slender hips. Thanks for sharing.
I have a silk 1920s evening gown I made for an event and I absolutely love how it came out. I didn't think it would look good on me but I really love how it came out and feel confident wearing it. :) I think Plus size 20s is all about finding what looks good on your body. And this looks fabulous on you.
It's hard to sew when you're distracted, but when you sew and you need the distraction, what are you to do. I come from tall, sturdy women who were alive in the 1920s, and owned cameras. The 1920s fashions looked just fine on them. The dress is cute (but I might be biased, I'm a product of the 80s, and I love odd colored plaids and drop waist dresses.) You look super cute in the dress. And now I'm thinking about the three new to me drop waist patterns I acquired earlier this year.
Love the t-shirt. I absolutely think plus-size people can wear '20s fashion -- I think not having an hourglass figure works best, no matter how big or small that figure is. This looks fabulous on you, and your hair is so pretty in those shots!
Very cute dress! I think you look great! Anyone should wear what makes them feel confident and beautiful. Unfortunately I do not feel confident in 1920's styles, just my taste for my own shape though.
This is such an interesting pattern! I’ve done 2 variations on the one hour dress, and I was pleasantly surprised by how well they fit and how much I liked the look of them. I like the look of this one even more! Thanks for sharing another beautiful make with us!
Plus size people can wear whatever style they like. However, I don’t wear 1920s because my particular plus size shape is very round in the middle. If I weren’t 60 years old, people would think I’m about to give birth or was stealing a beach ball. So my belly, in my opinion, looks stupid in the straight shaped 1920s styles so I don’t wear them myself. You, however, look quite lovely in your dress. Thank you for posting, I love the kitty content, and you are appreciated.
You look fabulous in the dress ❤, if you like it then you wear it. 1920 dresses are better on not hourglass bodies, on people like me with a larger bust and not much else but a stoma, i look like a sack with 3 spuds left. 😂. You are looking beautiful and beautiful ladies should wear what makes them happy. ❤
OMG IT'S SO PRETTY! I think it really flatters you in ways I hadn't anticipated! I think for us apples, it can be difficult to have balance between the top and bottom but the pleats and the skirts really do you justice!
I personally don't like 1920's fashion, but that's just my taste. I think a plus sized person can wear whatever the hell they want. If you feel cute in an outfit, if you are happy with how you look, wear it. Other people's opinions don't matter 😘
So cute!! The swish of the drapery at the end made me so happy
@@kennal.8443 I know!! I love the swish!

@@lorettaarmsworthy3035 I do! They definitely were a bit confusing and would probably look better in a different fabric.
@@lorettaarmsworthy3035 I was thinking it would be pretty with the dress in velvet and the back drapery in a chiffon or something flowy.
