When my grandpa was in the hospital I was able to watch an ultrasound done on his heart. It was amazing to see. The specialist answered a lot of questions I had.
Animated Video of TAVR gives a fantastic overview of medical procedures for those who are victim of CTPA. This surely helped understand the Metabolic parts of our Hearts that allow us to breathe. 👍
If only this worked well on bicuspid valves. I couldn't wait any longer I guess. Put it off so well I forgot about it. Ended up with severe aortic stenosis due to my bicuspid valve. April 22nd is my open heart surgery. I chose the Inspiris Resillia bovine valve. It's TAVR ready if it ever goes bad. It's performing wonderfully in tests I've seen. 99.3% of surviving patients at 7.7 years had zero degradation to the valve. I sure hope this translates into many good years for me.
I believe TAVI is very much prone to Stroke, because pushing a new valve on an old one poses high degree of risk for calcium breaking. The process is expensive and still the gold standard is either SAVR or MIAVR which have their own drawbacks 😢
@@kagiyosa125 He went for Aortic Valve Replacement Surgery, he had same issue but he had chosen to replace with a Mechanical Valve. Doctors Performed surgery but complications came from nowhere. After 2 days of Surgery, they noticed Blood Leakage from another Valve so emergency surgery was performed for Mitral Valve also within 4 days of First Surgery. Also Lungs were filled with Blood. The second surgery was very critical for him to clear Lungs, Replace second Valve to Fix Leakage. During this time his all major organs failed. He was too critical and 10 months in ICU. Now bit better but not like before. Heart = Ok now Lungs = Ok now Liver = Ok now Kidneys = On Dialisys , thrice a week. Legs = Trying to walk via Physiotherapy
@joshiprashant007 this is tough! I may need a valve replacement as well that's why I have been watching and reading this type of videos/news. How's your brother now?
Doctors suggest a bypass to my husband...but he is afraid to do the operation...plz suggest me is there any way to avoid a surgery...can we just use a stunt???
I am no expert but bypass surgery is better than a stent I'll suggest discussing the matter with the doctor, no need to Afraid, ask the doctor any questions you have regarding the treatment.
Fantastic video. If you take video requests. I would be interested in seeing a video about cystic fibrosis treatments such as trikafta and how they work. Keep up the good work
What would happen if someone has a persistent cough going into open heart surgery and the results on the sutures? If I can get a bio prosthetic done instead, I was thinking of the Edwards Resilia Inspiris
Not really. It's mostly used with elderly people who can't undergo a more invasive type of valve replacement due too much comorbidities. A TAVR is the kind of procedure where you take you time and anticipate things (except the unexepted of course).

TAVR is such a smart and safe method to repair the heart... Medical technology never fails to amaze me. Thank you for this detailed video!
Yes I agree provided doctors do have honest intentions under pressure of business considerations.
But it's terrifying knowing you could be one of the unlucky ones that don't wake up
@@pepsico815you’d never know

My aortic valve in my heart is leaking l have this a few years now l am fifty two
Is this used for heart failure!??
Heart failure is where muscles get damaged. Since it can be a consequence of aortic stenosis, I don't think it can be an appropriate treatment.
