@@treytison1444I guess it’s because GW don’t want people buying Bladeguard models expecting to be able to put power fists and different weapons on them. That’s my guess. Probably not the case because it seems quite silly but this is GW.

Some are called Flying Hive Tyrants and they will sacrifice two weapon limbs for wings. They come equipped similar to Tyranid Warriors, a mix of ranged and melee options. Are are sometimes protected by Tyrant Guards, bigger thicker stronger melee warriors that take hits for their Hive Tyrants and avenge them if they are killed before them. Tyranid Warriors are also Synapse creatures and act as relays if a Hive Tyrant is alive and in charge.

Same. My nitpick is I’d like them slightly weightier and tank like, without looking too light on their feet, and have their armor dinged up and scarred as the fight goes on, have organ failure and secondary organs kicking in, blood clotting etc. as game mechanics, maybe even traumatic limb loss… 🥲

There's an insane level of level detail on the map. I cant imagine how many hours and how many level designers it took to make that 1 room in the beginning
Looks good, bloody and cool. 1st nitpick. Bolter doesn't seem to be packing a lot of punch. Maybe I didn't notice it, but the shots felt like bullets and less like exploding bolter rounds.
Just think of it as nids with tuffer armor. Also this a game if it was lore accurate to those kinds of boltguns then it wouldn't be that hard to play and on top of that not all bolt guns use those rounds. But I do get what you mean

4:30 Those are called Ravenors. The guys with legs with mixed melee and range weapons as needed are called Warriors. The smaller guys are called Hormaguants for melee and Termagants for Ranged. The little flyers are called Gargoyles.
I also believe he encountered a lictor at one point
Reminds me of Gears of War, but grittier.
Not sure about Grittier, Gears 1 was incredibly gritty, but it's a bit different and that's great.
Gears was annoying because the guns felt like they were shooting rubber bullets. This game has way better balance
When you're going, "bring it on!" I'm getting excited. This game looks like it's bringing out insane fist pumping moments and I'm all for it. Definitely want to get a copy
8:00 Bulkwark is called the Bladeguard or a Captain with a Storm Shield and Sniper is called the Eliminator and they wear a Camo Cloak over their Phobos armour (your's is Tacticus armour) and can fire rounds or heat. The other armours are Carapace armour for basic Scouts, Gravis armour for heavies and Terminator armour for teleportation and ship assaults.
Yeah idk why they changed the names of eliminators, reivers, and bladeguard
@@treytison1444I guess it’s because GW don’t want people buying Bladeguard models expecting to be able to put power fists and different weapons on them. That’s my guess. Probably not the case because it seems quite silly but this is GW.
This is the Gears of War we needed
Closest thing psn players will ever get to gears of war
Yes because this is 100% a cover shooter like gears of war
@@crypto40We got Helldivers 2 this year
@rifway22 Yeah, you had to throw a grenade in the locusts (enemy in gears of war) holes to close them. So it's basically the same concept.
GOW dead atm
14:30 Hive Tyrants are leaders of the Tyranid armies and have a Synapse range that lets them control other Tyranids. They are the greatest warriors of the Hive Fleets outside of the unique Swamlord.
More please I want it.
Love when a company releases early access sneak peak. Shows theyre proud of what they made and wanna show it off to the masses.
This looks amazing. I also feel like this game will be so open for DLC content, like new missions and maybe even a short campaign against Orks, Necrons, Tau, Chaos Daemons etc.
So much room for expansion. The hive tech and Tyranids seems like an awesome launching point, and think Orks will be awesome to see in future DLCs.
This could be the first game in a very long time that i would be willing to buy on release. This looks fantastic, and the attention to detail is astounding.
Same I need this
Me probably first pre order
There were moments in this gameplay where I just wanted to wander around and observe the epic battles in the distance
i think the only game i have ever pre order was doom 2016 (super fan) but this game is tempting me AF, i want it

So gears of war?
@dmagyo6631 I think gears was heavily inspired by old 40k table top
If it was Helldivers, the heavy bolter would get nerfed
@@dmagyo6631Pretty sure 40k had chain weapons before GoW ever came out.

Most anticipated game of the year. Cannot freaking wait. FOR THE EMPEROR!
So cool to see a 40k game that hits the nail on the head. It was always an incredible universe that needed a bit of extra love to be properly realized as a video game. I'm really excited to play it myself.
Looks great, hope they have options to declutter the screen. Smaller HUD, etc, because it seems a lot of the beauty is being hidden by chunky HUD.
At 41:15 it looked incredibly cinematic slapping some Tyranids with the hammer and the explosions in the background.
that's a screenshot :D
Man, I can't wait to play this next month.
omg finally someone who actually knows the basics of playing a space marine game. a couple of youtubers I watched before played as if they had never touched a controller before.
This looks really fun. I'd love to see this style in the Halo universe for some spin-off games about Spartans in the field.
You really get the size, scope and feel of a full Tyranid invasion. The game looks *Stunning*
Definitely my most anticipated game this year
@@derekzombie1514 ooof this game looks absolutely boring and repetitive. Face tank damage, stand in the open, shoot …. Walls are just aesthetic… Fun stuff. Definitely would get bored within 10 min, 0 substance

Okay, this game just gained a fan! Jeez, it looks amazing, the level of detail and thought put into the map, combat and design of everything.
I honestly, never gave any of the WarHammer games any time or thought but I can now see I'm so very wrong.
To the WarHammer fans out there, please don't hurt me. Allow me to atone for my many many sins over the years by buying and playing this when it comes out!!!!
I'm sold, preordered. I really hope the game is well put together at launch
As a 40k fan this game looks pretty much perfect. If I was to nitpick, id say that the main boltor magically appearing and disappearing when aiming vs melee is a bit of an emersion breaker but it looks fantastic regardless!
Also, this just looks sooooo much better than the recent Star Wars gameplay. It's a shame honestly, I wish they could both be so true to the source materials and fanbase
What was inauthentic about the Star Wars Outlaws gameplay?
@@DarthSatoris It looked like a highschool dropout team with 10 minutes of studying attempted to make a game, that's what that DEI shtfest game looked like lol
Tim Willits formerly of id software - is the creative director behind this. You know it will be good!

This game looks absolutely amazing. Been following it and waiting. 40k done right from the looks of it. Now do one with the fantasy side (Warhammer) and I’ll die a happy man. 😜
Gears and doom mashed together in a 40k wrapping and co op. Looks really cool definitely gonna play this with my friends
Jack really said "Can't touch this!" and did hammer time all over the place.
5:00 Melta weapons are anti armour weapons. They attack matter with intense heat at the sub-atomic level. Melta Guns usuall do extra damage when at half range, while their natural range is already really short. Think of it as a much stronger thermite powered weapon for visuals.
I can't wait for this game imagine it went from a board game at the comic book store to this🤯
The board game is great. Give it a shot.
What this game does is really give you the sense of scale of the astartes as well as their speed and efficiency
I lovw that you fight alongside the Guardsmen. It really helps capture the spectacle
The first game was hellishly fun to play, this looks like an absolute scream to play! You definitely need to do a few deep dives when you're allowed to show the full game.! Definitely get a co-op with Tomo and Stod going too!
FOR THE EMPEROR!
Never heard of Space Marine until the recent gameplay, but as a 7th gen console kid, this has every feeling of the early to mid 7th gen era with the graphics of the current 9th gen of consoles which I mean in every way as a compliment!
I know absolutely nothing about the Warhammer world nor have I played any games. But I'm going to play this
The first game was my introduction to Warhammer so i am very excited for this.
i dont remember the last time i had this much fun watching someone else play a video game. i hope my old ass laptop can even run this game xD
9:30 That's called a Lictor (camouflage), or a smaller variant called a Von Ryan Leaper (I'm not sure it would be this as he seems pretty tanky, which Leapers are not). There are also Neurolictors (psyker) and the singular Deathleaper (HQ). If you see the last one, run. Space Marine or not.
If you see her
1:08 very smooth transition from melee to gun
I know absolutely nothing about Warhammer.. But god damn this game looks fun as hell. Looks like Gears of War on Steroids!! I can’t wait for this one!! 🔥🔥🔥

Looks very Gears of War meets Doom 2016, which is not a bad thing at all. Looks super fun!
Finally, a decent co-op game!!!
Thanks Jack, looks absolutely epic.
That hive tryant boss fight was fucking insane. It was *Awesome*
This game looks phenomenal to play and I hope it will be that way.😎👍🏾
remember the very first battlefield game where you could switch between squad mates across the battlefield manually or when you died? I'd love to play a 40k game like that where we play the grunt marines. "Here's 20 marines at your command. Hold the line while Astartes completes their objective."
@@BurntOutFiend all boltguns use bolt rounds.. that's what makes it a boltgun.
@@Squidberries bro there's like 40 types of boltguns not all of them use the same type of ammunition
@@BurntOutFiend "Bolt weapons fire self-propelled mass-reactive shells known as bolts, which are timed to explode just after penetration for maximum lethality."
It's literally not a bolt weapon if it doesn't fire bolt ammo.
lol while I agree, your comment and the ones attached to your comment are what I feel like most of the criticism is going to look like. A bunch of 40k diehard and self-proclaimed loremasters arguing about bolter ammunition. The game looks pretty sweet and I'm sure there are things we can pick out as diehard fans, but I am very happy to see that it looks like the devs tried their best to be true to the grimdark of the future.
Ive never played warhammer but I might actually play this game
I'm sorry but I'm pre-ordering this...
Reminds me when I was blown away many years ago when Gears of War 2 was first showcased. Love it.
This game is running on a modified version of the Swarm Engine from the World War Z game. It's how they're able to get so many enemies on screen in vast hordes. I believe there was an AI Director in that game too as the levels had different layouts each time you played them
