I mean they have been hinting he is alive since Scream 5. They did it in 5 and 6. 5 on the laptop, 6 in a convo between Mindy and Kirby. It's very, very obvious he's still out there.
Even his house was in 5 they wouldn't have shown his house unless they were planning to bring him back plus billy was the only one ever confirmed dead in 2 cause Mrs loomis only ever mentioned billy her to sidney she says you killed my billy also in 5 dewey even hints at stu being alive saying hes a real loony tune when dewey didn't have an interaction with stu in the first movie also in 5 his house was shown also the killer that killed dewey mocked him saying its an honor and yes today also the time it took dewey to walk to the killer the killer could have swapped out with stu wearing the Ghostface mask cause of the long slow walk dewey did
People really need to do their research. All the scream movies have hinted that he still alive. Matthew also was in scream 2 friends with Mickey coincidence. He was also supposed to come back and scream three but because of the massive school shootings. They erased all that so he could easily come back that the cops put him into a mental hospital and he could’ve had good lawyers after 30 years finally get them out of the mental hospital. so yes, he could easily be alive and no one has called him dead yet watch all the movies. They call Billy Loomis dead never Stu they always use him in the present

I'm not on the Stu Train. I believe the character is dead. He did not survive Sidney's attacks. He knows he's dead even though he's been telling people otherwise.
I'm not worried about Sidney dying. I know she's not gonna die. It's just that bringing Stu Marcher back as alive after he died his unrealistic, especially in the world of Scream. Matthew claimed anybody can come back in a horror movie. But he's somewhat wrong. In Scream, a character comes back after being dead, it would be a flashback. Wasn't really a fan of the ghost of Billy Loomis in Scream 5. That was so not Scream.

I agree they'd need a full movie to explain where he's been and why he's back. Yea, it's been hinted a lot that he's not dead, but we haven't seen him supposedly since the first movie. The characters just hint and talk he's not dead. I think if he just comes back it'll be confusing as heck.

the problem with laying the foundation is taking away the shock factor of the killer reveal like maybe if they kill everyone in scream 7 and its jsut sidney daughter left and he unmasks and he is the solo killer

The way todays film industry secretly adds cast members and are able to keep it super DL to surprise thr audience such as Spiderman No way Home, and Deadpool & Wolverine had so many we didnt expect or atleast i didnt/ i think its quite possible they can keep it hush to surprise us BUT if Stew comes back it may be at the end of this series/ new trilogy to bring it all together. I wish Angelina Tyler from Scream 3 would make a return or Parker Posey because apparently she didnt die either...

I think that he is going to be in seven he was literally still breathing and had a pulse the night after he got hit by the TV so therefore there is a possibility that he could be higher in the same state as Sid or he is not so far away his reason for what could be for him coming back for seven is that he is finally going to explain what his motive was and I think that’s why everybody wants him back and I want him back. Why can’t everybody just be OK with it? Nothing bad is going to happen.
