We use am iMac with 64GB of RAM and Adobe Premiere Pro CC for editing with super fast hard drives in an Areca dock with USB-C connection. Editing went fine but rendering when it was done took hours. The camera is a breeze to set up and use...worked great!
Yes, he filmed that on the GoPro Fusion. I came here from his review on the GoPro website about it. Here is the link if you wan to read it. (It is the review from 8-20-18) shop.gopro.com/cameras/fusion/CHDHZ-103.html#
Yes, on an heavy duty Avenger arm both clamped and tied (with rope) to the gondola. I also had a power brick gaff taped on to the arm and connected to the GoPro's USB port, to make sure I had enough battery power to run through the entire race, about one hour.
Your review on the GoPro website made me look this up. How long did it take your PC to process this? I definitely want to get one of these cameras.
