The dua is: (Wallazeena yaqooloona) Rabbanaa hab lanaa min azwaajinaa wa zurriyaatinaa qurrata a’yuninw waj ‘alnaa lilmuttaqeena Imaamaa (And those who say), “Our Lord, grant us from among our wives and offspring comfort to our eyes and make us an example for the righteous.” Surah Al-Furqan verse 74
Translation: Those who say oh Allah, grant us from our spouses and our offsprings, that which will be comfort and the coolness of our eyes and make us examples for righteous people.
Coolness of eyes refers to coming in from a Sandstorm and the heat of the desert so says my Saudi husband. He must have made the dua because I didn’t. He just fell from the sky. But Arabs say “for you a thousand times more” May everyone be blessed with someone so patient and kind and generous and faithful to the Almighty One. ❤

I consider myself non-denominational (my Christian stepmother is rolling in her grave me saying this). What a beautiful verse. This year will make 27 years of marriage and I love my wife more and more everyday, and yes my eyes swell with tears how blessed I am to be married to such a beautiful woman.
