I hate that makeup creators get told they're being too negative if they talk about things with honest criticism. I've heard Jen Phelps talk about similar things and it sucks. People need to remember that these makeup influencers will have tried a wide array of products - not all will sit well with particular skin types
That Lancome Louvre palette is really special! I didn't envision myself spending that much on a freaking Lancome palette, but I'm glad I did. It is gorgeous.
Watched your video then I watched Theresa is Dead's video on these new palettes. Girl!! I don't know if you two talk (East Coast/West Coast time) but both of you are like mirror twins! I love that you always give an honest opinion even on products from brands like Oden's Eye how you were willing to say the color stories on the new palettes were a bit challenging. Whenever I watch drama videos about other creators being dishonest when it comes to products from brands they are working with I always leave a comment shouting you out as one of the beauty UA-camrs who is always honest even with products from brands you have worked with. 💛
Hot tip for those whose lids dont get enough light for multichrome shifts. I love the green to brown duochromes, so i put a tiny bit of bright green shimmer under the shade & it keeps it shifted to the green without changing the shade much. You still wont get a shift, youd need a headgear lighting system if your eyes are like mine, but you can get the brighter or more colorful shade option to reveal itself.
My “holiday” palette I bought myself finally yesterday is the ND Yucca palette 🤣 After I realised this holiday season in makeup was a FLOP! Pat Mcgrath is killing me atm with these boring palettes - like gf, give us FESTIVE!! She came out with hundred palettes this season that look the same as her last 10 drops…just focus on one and put in the effort!

The Christmas palettes are usually so nice and I’m with you about liking the big palettes so much better! Her last few launches all look the same and then these being small…complete fail! The only thing I’m really so excited about is Oden’s Eye bringing back last years palettes when it comes to cosmetics. The Summer Friday, Milani and Elf Lip oils/glosses are also loves for me. Fragrance released on the other hand…I could literally go completely broke 😂!!

I'm sure a lot of the makeup is good, as most new makeup is good nowadays, but you remind me to look for the connection to a makeup product :) And that makeup is just makeup after all, it's not magic. The magic has to come from somewhere inside ;)

Use on its own or with other palettes! I’ve been using nurture and aspiration from my dream. Then a shimmer from xenon and Nightsky as liner. Cannnot get enough!!! Love Snowbow or skift the very most center of lid, dabbed on lid for beautiful scattered sparkle!!! I still like using whisper from I need a nude as inner corner highlight. I love ebb dabbed slightly over aspiration in outer corner to add a little blue. Beautiful!!!!!!!!!

I just got an Oden's Eye Gemstones palette and I'm still enjoying the Raised by Wolves palette as well. So I've skipped the Halloween and Christmas palettes, I have enough makeup and I'm trying to declutter. They are very pretty though.

I just recently got moondust in wild dipper (I already have space cowboy) and returned it because it was like space cowboy minus the specialness. Definitely didn’t have the wet look that space cowboy has. So I feel that wanting something that’s the same but different. Didn’t work for me either 😂

I have palettes from Tarte and Ciaté London that do the “Snow Globe” thing on the front when you shake or turn them, just like the Bobbi Brown palette. They came out in 2017 I think.
Good morning. Breakfast and Lauren is not a combination I ever had. 😊 I honestly stopped buying holiday makeup on release day,because i had a few purchases i regretted. Thankfully most of it was drugstore. But it's still annoying and in Germany you cant return unsealed makeup. And thanks to Hannah im mor3 conscious and mindful in what i purchase and own. But if my interest in a product ist still there in the new year, i might consider picking something up.
Australia doesn't take any returns either, not even if your eyes are closed shut from a reaction!! You have to write to the company and make a formal complaint, return the product (along with photos of your fluffed up face!!) and hope they see sense in giving you a refund if it's an allergic reaction, and work on fixing the agent in it that causes the reaction.!!!
Americans are so lucky, not only do they get cheap make-up, they can return it just because they don't like it!!...and they have heaps of shops competing with each other for your $$$ so they have the best of it...
Theres a colour in the Charlotte Tilbury quad that reminds me of the chantecaille single, i think its the celestial pearl quad, the one with the stars on the outer packaging xx

I’ve been using PMG Intensifeyes for the CT and Mario palettes bc I hate having to pull out glitter glue. That clicky pen is way easier just dab and go. Also that Xmas Eve palette is now on my list!
i think a good series would be something like a rainbow series. where each video you focus on one color in the rainbow and give us like a monochromatic lewk with your favorite colorful makeup. and then maybe for the finale do an actual rainbow themed lewk. idk just a suggestion lol

I picked up the simply posh Cozy Cabin eyeshadow palette and I’m SO excited to try that brand out, the shimmers looked out of this world and that price just couldn’t be beat.
The DM palette at my Sephora was a mess. The shadows are so soft that it was covered in crumbly glitter dust and a lot of the shadows were broken. I’m way to clumsy for something so messy and fragile
I’ve had my DM palette for a week. I’ve already used it 3-4 times. I was drawn to shimmery/ metallic shadows. I love all the shades. I bought mine during the sale and got 20% off. I have the DM from last year as well. I’m enjoying the Xenon palette. The “pink” shade in that palette does pull pale pink/ lilac on me. I have worn the Xenon on it’s own and have paired it with the DM V.
The Bobbi brown stuff looks really good. You’re doing authentic work by saying your true feelings. One of my favorite content creators mentioned that there’s a lot of new makeup coming out but there is no innovation so we have to mindful what we’re feeding into. I will be picking the og Odens Eye palettes. I missed out on the first round. Literally waiting for them to be available as we speak 😊

Im getting that lancome palette. I dont want to regret not picking it up. Im kinda over Too Faced but i do love the pillow balms. I got the last set of minis they came out with. It was ice cream themed. Van/choc/strawberry. I still love my banana one best. I didnt like anything at all in the Pat M.collection. Not one thing. I used to get so excited over her releases
Oh boy, what I have bought this holiday season? Hourglass jellyfish palette, make up by Mario duo lip set, tower 28 blush and lipgloss set (it’s a mauve-ment), both summer Friday lip butter balm sets (the minis from Sephora then I lived them so much I bought the full size trio on summer Friday website) 🤣 I also purchased the Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer blushes. Honestly I love everything I have bought so far!
I am so with you about the Patrick Ta holiday palate. I love the blushes, but I am not into the eyeshadows (I might be too boring for them). I wish I could detach it, and I would pass that part on to a friend.
I looked and studied the Odens eye collection and I only like about 1/3 to 1/2 half of each palette. I can’t do it anymore. I passed. The colors I was most drawn to were stunning though.

HoleeeeMoleee! I've had my eye on the Lancome palette for ages; two things were stopping my purchase. First, I rarely bother wearing multiple shades of e/s these days, my eyes are so hooded it just seems like a waste of time, effort, and money. Second, I'd convinced myself the shadows "probably weren't that good, anyway." Well, you blew the shadow-quality thing right out of the water--they are stunning!! There's still the cost and my wretched hooded eyes, though, so I will very sadly have to pass on it. Great video, Lauren Mae, even the Grinchy vibes are authentic and helpful, thank you!

I picked up space cowboy, solstice and lithium in the moondust shadows during the sale. Never tried any of them before and so glad I am now because they are gorgeous
I bought the UD Space Rider palette and I personally love it! Space cowboy is special but I enjoy pairing the other shades with single shadows like the About Face matte eye paints for easy looks that last for work (ER nurse). I also got the Makeup by Mario Ethereal Eyes finally and I really love the shimmers in there because they remind me of space cowboy! The mattes are also perfect for daytime looks!

i asked for the odens eye palettes for x mas and i’m so excited! maybe it will push me to do more simple looks! i’m pale too so i don’t prefer too many deep shades, so it’s a plus for me! i would love to see more of your looks with the odens eye palettes if you ever want to! i know you’re swimming in palettes!!
I picked up the simply posh Cozy Cabin eyeshadow palette and I’m SO excited to try that brand out, the shimmers looked out of this world and that price just couldn’t be beat.

The DM palette at my Sephora was a mess. The shadows are so soft that it was covered in crumbly glitter dust and a lot of the shadows were broken. I’m way to clumsy for something so messy and fragile

I’ve had my DM palette for a week. I’ve already used it 3-4 times. I was drawn to shimmery/ metallic shadows. I love all the shades. I bought mine during the sale and got 20% off. I have the DM from last year as well. I’m enjoying the Xenon palette. The “pink” shade in that palette does pull pale pink/ lilac on me. I have worn the Xenon on it’s own and have paired it with the DM V.

Im getting that lancome palette. I dont want to regret not picking it up. Im kinda over Too Faced but i do love the pillow balms. I got the last set of minis they came out with. It was ice cream themed. Van/choc/strawberry. I still love my banana one best. I didnt like anything at all in the Pat M.collection. Not one thing. I used to get so excited over her releases

Hourglass jellyfish palette, make up by Mario duo lip set, tower 28 blush and lipgloss set (it’s a mauve-ment), both summer Friday lip butter balm sets (the minis from Sephora then I lived them so much I bought the full size trio on summer Friday website) 🤣 I also purchased the Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer blushes. Honestly I love everything I have bought so far!

I looked and studied the Odens eye collection and I only like about 1/3 to 1/2 half of each palette. I can’t do it anymore. I passed. The colors I was most drawn to were stunning though.

HoleeeeMoleee! I've had my eye on the Lancome palette for ages; two things were stopping my purchase. First, I rarely bother wearing multiple shades of e/s these days, my eyes are so hooded it just seems like a waste of time, effort, and money. Second, I'd convinced myself the shadows "probably weren't that good, anyway." Well, you blew the shadow-quality thing right out of the water--they are stunning!! There's still the cost and my wretched hooded eyes, though, so I will very sadly have to pass on it. Great video, Lauren Mae, even the Grinchy vibes are authentic and helpful, thank you!

I bought the UD Space Rider palette and I personally love it! Space cowboy is special but I enjoy pairing the other shades with single shadows like the About Face matte eye paints for easy looks that last for work (ER nurse). I also got the Makeup by Mario Ethereal Eyes finally and I really love the shimmers in there because they remind me of space cowboy! The mattes are also perfect for daytime looks!
