Yep! The color story is simple.. .but if you have ageing lids... the metallics/shimmers are amazing! There are maybe only one or two other formulas that make my lids look so smooth and not aged at all!

I LOVE your Sea Talk palette so much. The shade Mermaid Scale is the pale aqua I've waited so long for, to give such a soft wash of aqua with so much shimmery dimension. It's one of my very favorite colors to wear in my clothes and decorate my bedroom with, but for some reason aqua makeup just did me NO favors for my skin tone, i just couldn't wear it...until Mermaid Scale came along! I love doing mermaid-y looks with it, i wore it to go see The Little Mermaid 😅

Believe it or not the Lorac Noir palette has been my most used and loved this past year. I’m late to it. That formula is amazing and it has some similar shades to Huda Grunge.

I bought So Many Oden's Eye palettes this year and I've been enjoying each and every one. Super happy the formula works for me. Special shout-out Mermaid Scale shade from your palette, Lauren! 😭 It's probably my favorite non-multichrome shade of everything in my collection. Even your beautiful swatches didn't prepare me for how jaw-droppingly gorgeous it is in person!! Those multi-color sparkles pop so much; it almost feels like a holochrome. I made a look layering it on top of Electric Kelp on the lid, then used Night Swim on the outer corner and felt like a beautiful deep sea mermaid.
Bobbi Brown, my FIRST LOVE to high end! I love the shade “bone”, I would wear that with a black liner on top and mascara. She does GREAT MATTES! Have not used her in a bit, but I have a few palettes and a great bronzer!

The love for sparkly eyeshadow and how you do your looks was why I followed you in the late 2010s. I love how we can see the progression in your taste throughout the years. And how it happened to me too, albeit different. I honestly couldn't rate my favourite palettes too in a particular order. I was on my second low buy year and bought 3 palettes, which is the lowest I've ever been (I was able to pick up last years PM holiday palette bronze bliss and Mothership VI). The first 6 shades in the MS VI turned out to be my most used shades this year 😊 I still love colorful looks but I've come to appreciate the elegance in more neutral ones thanks to you. ❤

I love the Identity palette but I wish there was a light-mid tone matte. There is one bone and the rest of the mattes are dark so I always have to bring in a second palette or a single.

I recently got the MAC Unfiltered Nudes palette and yeah, it's basic, but it's beautiful. Really good for everyday, can do an all matte look, a one-shadow satin look, etc. Contains some classic MAC shades.
Your collab palette is probably my most used palette from this year :') that chartreuse is so good, I use it on the inner corner allllll the time. I didn't pick up the other Oden's Eye palette, but it's been on my mind since it came out.... I'm sold after this video. 😭Happy holidays !!

Personally, that natasha I need a nude palette was this year’s biggest disappointment for me 😢 not because of the formula, but because of the color story. I use mostly cool tones on my eyes so I thought I’d love it, however that weird choice of adding the peaches in the palette completely takes the harmony away for me. I also feel like it’s the kind of palette that only looks good when you go glam, and I’m not a fan of that. The xenon on the other hand was the complete opposite. Thought I was only going to be able to use it for special events, but have found it works wonders for everyday
I just ordered both. If I had read your comment I would have passed on the I Need a Nude. I don;t know who peach is flattering on but it’s not me. And a lot of her shades seem to pull red.

I stopped buying palettes for the most part and went with crayons, creams and liquids this year. Of the few palettes I bought, the Colourpop ones, as always, did not work well with me. I enjoyed the MAC Christmas palette and a couple of their singles (Cozy Gray and Omega-l really❤ Omega. But the one palette I have used the most is Natasha Denona Xenon Midi, and now that I have confidence using it, all of a sudden I am able to make sense of Glam. Retro still mystifies me. I see the variations that most people miss, and for a super pale person like me, the differences show up. The color story of that stunning Lancome palette looks like such a good fit for you.

Ahhhhh I’ve been SO tempted on the isamaya 2.0 palette here you are tempted a b**** again!!!! I 💜💜💜 an all special shimmer shades palette. I’ve got mattes for days. Mattes, who needs em. 😂 AND the lightworks 5. That’s the one of all of em that got me. Happened to be in Sephora in December which is rare & I swatched a bunch & DIED. I know myself & would get oooohhh sooo much use out of them.
Favourite palettes of the year would be yours (obvs!) - I've used the heck out of that top left brown - it goes with EVERYTHING from every palette :) Also, Pixie Grove by Itsbel, a couple of the YSL mini clutches, Flower Moon by Ensley Reign, Charlotte Tilbury's Super Nudes (boring but great to use with any special shade when I want a neutral crease/outer corner, the Danessa Myricks Lightworks and the Nars Climax palette (still! - most used from last year).
I got the sea talk palette FINALLY over Black Friday month. Odens eye had been on my ‘to try list’ for a couple years & I wanted that & the merry Xmas which sold out. Lauren the pink w/ the blue sparkles I am OBSESSED with. I don’t have a single other shadow like it (I looked) & I’m so glad to own it & to have finally tried odens eye. Still more bummed than ever to have missed out on a palette than the merry Xmas. 2nd year in a row.
I am solar powered. Dark cold short days are sooo depressing. I hate the time change. Can the country vote?!!? Silver lining is those are my home project months that totally get ignored during busy Spring Summer months
The 5 palettes that shocked me (in a good way) but have gotten very little coverage: LYS unapologetic (lovely warm neutrals + 2 wowza shimmers in emerald and violet), Huda Mossy quad, and the other three were dollar store! I think the LA Colors "lucky" palette has been around for awhile & it is way more pigmented & shimmery than expected, and the new beauty intuition palettes are crazy good- even the mattes are blendable & nicely pigmented, & there are a few absolute standout shimmers that really pop (my BI metallic shimmer palette is brighter than the ofra glitch 2 palette...). I loved getting spendy palettes thru boxycharm but dollar tree has been the best value this year...even factoring in the absolute fail products.
Interesting picks Lauren! I recently got the Jewels and Gem by Oden's Eye and some of the shimmers feel very hard pressed and NEED a glitter glue otherwise they don't show up and they swatch terribly (especially High and Gorgeousness). Did I get a dud palette? Are some of the shimmers in yours also hard pressed?
Please say you have Clionadh's Iridescent Glitter Multichromes, since you love the sparkle?? To me, those are my favorite, most used shades when I really want some beautiful color.
I kind of prefer a top 10 palette video to a ranking. When around 100 palettes are being ranked it kind of makes below 15-20 all kind of blur together.

I love my DM light work’s palettes. I have the one from last year and this year. I know some people didn’t like the water activated shades. I don’t mind them at all. I’m artistic. I draw and paint. I didn’t see it as a big issue. I actually thought it was cool because it reminded me of painting. I have the ND I Need a Nude and Xenon palettes. I love all my ND palettes. It’s the brand I finally tried this year. I got the mini love in an Ipsy/ Boxycharm earlier this year. After trying the formula I wanted to try the rest of her palettes. I enjoy incorporating multiple palettes for a single look. I also enjoy using a one and done palette. I recently bought my first Pat McGrath palette while swatching in Ulta. (Huetopian Dream)I used my points and 20% off for that one. I haven’t worn the shadows yet. Going to try it out this weekend

I am surprised that you LOVE the Louvre palette, but you have never reviewed Lisa Eldridge (the creator of this palette) makeup. Her makeup is always creative, thoughtful, and high quality. With your recent, more chic style, I think you would really like some of the products in her line. I am such a Lisa Eldridge fan
So I have a few the ND 5 pans that I have gotten in boxy. But never before have I bought one!! So I decided I would finally buy one and I bought the ND Retro pallette.. I must say I am glad it was on sale cause the kick up is crazy to me!! Is that normal for her bigger palettes? Seems like such a waste of product and I could see why people could pan shadows in that pallet lol. Not impressed with the kick up smh. They do blend nice but in mine I think the dark colors can be little patchy ..idk I not impressed and the Huda Naughty is the same way. My fav palette I have in my collection to date.. which I have 52 eye shadow palettes so not big big collection lol. But still to date my fav one is the Not A Box Of Chocolates by Colour Pop ! I just love it and it works amazing!!

Definitely Persona! The formula is so buttery and easy to blend. Practically foolproof and a time saver. Tartelette can be patchy and is a talc highly fragrant formula. For some, it can make the eyelids itch. Hope this helps!

Favourite palettes of the year would be yours (obvs!) - I've used the heck out of that top left brown - it goes with EVERYTHING from every palette :) Also, Pixie Grove by Itsbel, a couple of the YSL mini clutches, Flower Moon by Ensley Reign, Charlotte Tilbury's Super Nudes (boring but great to use with any special shade when I want a neutral crease/outer corner, the Danessa Myricks Lightworks and the Nars Climax palette (still! - most used from last year).
An entire palette of creamy shimmers is everything honestly.

I got the sea talk palette FINALLY over Black Friday month. Odens eye had been on my ‘to try list’ for a couple years & I wanted that & the merry Xmas which sold out. Lauren the pink w/ the blue sparkles I am OBSESSED with. I don’t have a single other shadow like it (I looked) & I’m so glad to own it & to have finally tried odens eye. Still more bummed than ever to have missed out on a palette than the merry Xmas. 2nd year in a row.

The 5 palettes that shocked me (in a good way) but have gotten very little coverage: LYS unapologetic (lovely warm neutrals + 2 wowza shimmers in emerald and violet), Huda Mossy quad, and the other three were dollar store! I think the LA Colors "lucky" palette has been around for awhile & it is way more pigmented & shimmery than expected, and the new beauty intuition palettes are crazy good- even the mattes are blendable & nicely pigmented, & there are a few absolute standout shimmers that really pop (my BI metallic shimmer palette is brighter than the ofra glitch 2 palette...). I loved getting spendy palettes thru boxycharm but dollar tree has been the best value this year...even factoring in the absolute fail products.
Interesting picks Lauren! I recently got the Jewels and Gem by Oden's Eye and some of the shimmers feel very hard pressed and NEED a glitter glue otherwise they don't show up and they swatch terribly (especially High and Gorgeousness). Did I get a dud palette? Are some of the shimmers in yours also hard pressed?

Please say you have Clionadh's Iridescent Glitter Multichromes, since you love the sparkle?? To me, those are my favorite, most used shades when I really want some beautiful color.
Did you do a review of the Isamaya palettes?
I kind of prefer a top 10 palette video to a ranking. When around 100 palettes are being ranked it kind of makes below 15-20 all kind of blur together.

I love my DM light work’s palettes. I have the one from last year and this year. I know some people didn’t like the water activated shades. I don’t mind them at all. I’m artistic. I draw and paint. I didn’t see it as a big issue. I actually thought it was cool because it reminded me of painting.
I have the ND I Need a Nude and Xenon palettes. I love all my ND palettes. It’s the brand I finally tried this year. I got the mini love in an Ipsy/ Boxycharm earlier this year. After trying the formula I wanted to try the rest of her palettes. I enjoy incorporating multiple palettes for a single look. I also enjoy using a one and done palette.
I recently bought my first Pat McGrath palette while swatching in Ulta. (Huetopian Dream)I used my points and 20% off for that one. I haven’t worn the shadows yet. Going to try it out this weekend

I am surprised that you LOVE the Louvre palette, but you have never reviewed Lisa Eldridge (the creator of this palette) makeup. Her makeup is always creative, thoughtful, and high quality. With your recent, more chic style, I think you would really like some of the products in her line.

So I have a few the ND 5 pans that I have gotten in boxy. But never before have I bought one!! So I decided I would finally buy one and I bought the ND Retro pallette.. I must say I am glad it was on sale cause the kick up is crazy to me!! Is that normal for her bigger palettes? Seems like such a waste of product and I could see why people could pan shadows in that pallet lol. Not impressed with the kick up smh. They do blend nice but in mine I think the dark colors can be little patchy ..idk I not impressed and the Huda Naughty is the same way. My fav palette I have in my collection to date.. which I have 52 eye shadow palettes so not big big collection lol. But still to date my fav one is the Not A Box Of Chocolates by Colour Pop ! I just love it and it works amazing!!
Hello everyone! I'm contemplating buying Tartelette in Bloom or Personal Identity as an everyday neutral palette! I feel like this comment section is a good place to ask people's opinion, does anyone have any take on this 🤓
Definitely Persona! The formula is so buttery and easy to blend. Practically foolproof and a time saver. Tartelette can be patchy and is a talc highly fragrant formula. For some, it can make the eyelids itch. Hope this helps!
