just joking. I like the looks of your printer with proper linear bearing blocks. I'm also the process of building a Prusa i3. I'm currently waiting on the printed parts from ebay.
Hola cómo estás? Quería preguntarte tengo un problema con la prusa i3 pro b a la hora de imprimir..quiere imprimir en la posición 0..cómo puedo hacer para cambiar en el medio de la cama
I am pretty happy with my Geeetech i3 printer, I am sure that it's not the best printer. But I doubt you could get any better printer for the price :) Also, I recommend people to buy a 0.5 nozzle because it makes for a much faster printing experience, much less nozzle jams due to filament quality and the parts seems to be a bit more robust, I but a 0.3 nozzle to begin with and I regret doing so. I also have a short video about my Geeetech i3 Pro printer on my channel, its not the same as this one but it is somewhat similar.
I have found that the Ender 3 pro is a much better printer for the same sought of price, especially now that I have installed BTT E3 board and touch screen. BTT board is much easier to install BL touch and firmware. My Geeetech i3 pro board became corrupted whilst trying to install the firmware for the 3D Touch.
I am having a ton problems with my i3 X. the filament is extruding too slow for how fast the printer is going so it's just a clump sliding on the bed. I am mechanically inclined person and building this and updating the firmware ect has been a nightmare at the least and I still haven't been able to print a single small block. I have probably 48hours into this build and still nothing upset with this item
it's necessary the glass base (I think it is glass), over the aluminium surface to print? I'm doing some test with this printer and the filament take off after a few seconds, so I'm guessing maybe it's the problem?
+guillermop what is the filament you are printing with? PLA or ABS? and what is the bed temprature you set? if you are printing PLA , keep it at 65-70 degree centigrade, and if you are printing ABS, keep it at 90-100 degree centigrade. and also you need to check if you have leveled the printing platform especially the distance between the nozzle and the aluminium surface.
+geeetech BS.......if you don't use acetone slurry your ABS and even PLA prints will curl up before done. Even on the glass REGARDLESS OF TEMPERATURE. I'm so sick of reading these lies.
somehow the y axis of mine can only move backwards fluently. you any idea why it cant move forward properly? moving forward the y axis only moves very little and it makes a loud noise
I'm new at this and sadly I couldn't get it to print correctly... could you please specify the setting/config on the computer ( i'm using repetier) for temperature (bed or nozle), infil, skirt and brim, etc...
+lukeshoot i will upload the user maunal soon on our website www.geeetech.com/unassembledgeeetech-prusa-i3-x-3d-printer-p-941.html please download it here then
Hello I just finished assembling a Geeetech acrylic Prusa I3 Pro & Pro B.Ho Problems with engines X - Z . Just do the Command House Z motors Turn on the contrary forcing the Movement Axis Z. Ciao Claudio, ho riscontrato anche io lo stesso tuo problema, ossia in fase di reset, invece di andare verso il micro a sinistra va a destra fino a fine corsa e poi sforzandoci contro. Tu sei riuscito a risolvere il problema? Se possibile fammi sapere! grazie Filippo
I just ordered one... I've noticed that some users use tape on the bed to keep the model in place when printing... Is that necessary? - (I noted that you didn't use tape on this demo...)
for all the firmware of geeetech 3d printers, you can find here www.geeetech.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=17046 find the firmware corresponding to the model of your printer
+geeetech Maybe he ment you did the calibration. There is the test cube 10x10x10mm, and after print you can check if the dimension are the same, if they not, you have to calibrate your 3D printer.
+geeetech What I mean is: you are not conducting very much of a test when you fail to report dimensional measurements of the resulting print. Is the printer printing accurately, or not? This is the entire purpose of the print!! Did the printer actually print the shape fed to it??? Please use a calipers and check every dimension!!!!
Already I know these things , the only thing that is not clear , if a piece is broken , can I buy any verisone compatible from the internet , or you need to own that particular piece?
+geeetech hello, Can you explain the differences, I understand that as you mentioned there were made to satisfy various. needs. Which are those needs? thanks
+Alejandro Eilberg some of them are cheaper (made from acrylic), some have dual extrusion etc. I would in all cases choose the most stable material, metal.
hello I am using The same extruder as this one in this video. the geeetech mk8 extruder that I am having problem calibrating it in marlin. It uses a 11 mm gear. I use arduino mega 2560 with ramps 1.4 sb premium black edition and pololu stepsticks drivers a4988 the green ones. For the extruder my vref is 1 A I use for Z axis M6 Threaded rods that I configured in marlin with 3200. My Esteps in marlin are 185. Thanks for the video, but you know... most people looking for 3D printers demos are really after the end result (i.e.: hi-res pictures of what the actual *printed part* looks like). There's little point in showing the whole printing process. In other words, I came here to see what kind of print quality I might expect from this particular printer, should I decide to buy one. Sadly, this video missed the point IMHO.
may I offer my honest option of this printer, I purchased on in Feb of 2016- I must have gotten a LEMON, missing parts, bent rods as of today I have had it apart more than running- purchasing this was the BIGGEST mistake in my life, a friend purchased on and has no issues, so please beware. And perhaps 30 good prints as today.
Funny thing is i got one built it and still doesnt work its been a yr funny how these people make it look like "oh you just build it and power it on and start printing away" I wish it worked like that lol.
What bothers me with this printer, is the way the power supply is attached. There is literally only a flimsy lid keeping you from touching the high-voltage terminals, which RIGHT ABOVE the power switch! I would suggest including a printed box, or simply a big cover for the power supply in the kit. Geeetech, this is extremely dangerous!
Seth Nuhn Sure you can print one yourself, but I doubt that a small cover would be that expensive to include from the beginning... Say, can you replace the bearings inside their housing? From what I've seen they are simply LM8UU bearings fitted inside a aluminium block, secured by a small metal ring you can pull out?
I bought one of this model by Dx. Very poor quality. Broken and missing parts, bended axels, broken brushings, aluminum bed seriously bended. Impossible make it work
Thanks for your feedback. The problem of your printer must be caused during shipping. If there is any quality problem, please contact the reselller. Together we will help you resolve it.
Same thing he, bended guid. They told me it's ok, it's withn specs... Finaly went to the shop for a DIY guide. By the way, the whole package box was ok, no damage. The guid has been placed into the package box broken!

buen vídeo, una consulta. cuanto es el alto que puede llegar a ser la figura? gracias!!
Just when I got into the music, it cuts out. Other than that it's a decent demonstration video. Thanks.
+Seth Nuhn thanks!
Is there a video that shows where the cables are gonna be attached to? The playlist of about 24 videos doesn't show it
Yours looks good. I bought same Can I ask. Is it 200mm X 200mm bed by 180mm height. I can't calbriate spot on. Do u use the cura level bed ?
no, i do not use the cura level. if you need help, please contact our tech support to calibrate it.
Use a feeler gage to level your bed, it works way better.
please help. the up and down motors keep getting jammed and hum. it also goes down too far and the table it almost all the way please help.
Hi, I'm really interested in purchasing this printer, but I mostly print in alumide. Is this ok? Also, what about the noise level?

can you show how to print directly through USB connection
How low/down do you set the long screw on the left of the printer that pushes down on the Y limit switch?
where ever you want

I want to print flexible filament with this. Was wander if this is a direct drive extruder or a Bowden extruder?
you can print with flexible filament with this, it is direct drive extruder
Thanks for sharing, what 3d drawing software do you use?

the number of extruders, the design of the looks.
somehow the y axis of mine can only move backwards fluently. you any idea why it cant move forward properly? moving forward the y axis only moves very little and it makes a loud noise
same problem. any idea to solve this problem, layer on that axis shift a lot

whats the most standard nozzle to order when buying this? it prompted me to choose a size but I'm not sure which will be best?
+RalphDroid filament: 1.75mm nozzle: 0.4mm is the standard size
+RalphDroid .3mm nozzle is good, but it will take a long time to print large objects. For larger objects I use a .5mm nozzle
Hello I just finished assembling a Geeetech acrylic Prusa I3

THank you
I just ordered one...
I've noticed that some users use tape on the bed to keep the model in place when printing... Is that necessary? - (I noted that you didn't use tape on this demo...)
yeah, i did not use.
It is not necessary.
But you can use tape to protect the glass or the alunimum plate.
hi what kind of plastic are you using in the video. ABS, PLA???
Pla
whats the thinnest filament i can use on it to better quality?
+Zeeeeeechan you can use a 0.3mm nozzle

this is another model the pro B
But it's is good?
Which model is "the best" I3?
I see you have multiple:
- I3
- I3 Pro
- I3 Pro b
- I3 Pro c
- I3 X
It's a bit confusing...
+DIY_glenn each of them has their merits, we made them to satisfy various needs of our customers
+DIY_glenn The I3 Pro c is the best, two extruders are great!!
Can I use the same settings with Pro B ?
+Mo ed i am afraid not, some parameters are different.
what is the glass dimension for this printer?
Hello it is 210mm*200mm*3mm. If you need it, please find it here
www.geeetech.com/borosilicate-glass-p-660.html
is there a chance I can get the marlin.ino file, or a screenshot of the configuration.h file? I have this exact printer and it's running like shit.
Angel Dearce Hi, you can ask for the seller, he or her will send you

yes, you can adjust it anytime
Why does that printer look nothing like the one i have. mine is held together with zip ties and hope!
yes where did those nine y axis rods come from?
I'm putting together one now and it's nowhere as shiny and my hands are black 🤔

hello
I am using The same extruder as this one in this video.
the geeetech mk8 extruder that I am having problem calibrating it in marlin.

+xXYannuschXx For the price it's a great printer. If it bothers you, I'm sure you can print your own protective cover. ;-)

Say, can you replace the bearings inside their housing? From what I've seen they are simply LM8UU bearings fitted inside a aluminium block, secured by a small metal ring you can pull out?
xXYannuschXx lol not even, it's extremely common for power supplies to be made in this manner. Not usually an issue for anyone.
A nearly uncovered 230v terminal, centimeters away from the power switch isn't dangerous?
i@@xXYannuschXx i have one. its not actually flimsy. the only problem is Z leveling.
